[66]HUSBAND'S FIRST LOVE - AUG 2 2023

Jimin and Jungkook are in an arranged marriage.

Jungkook didn't want to marry, he was forced to, for his dad's sake. Jungkook's dad was going through bankruptcy and his uncle had brought forth this proposal. Jimin's dad and Jungkook's uncle were close friends.

Jungkook couldn't let Jimin know about his situation, his dad suffered a mild panic attack when Jungkook refused the proposal and so the man didn't say anything further before the wedding.

"Why are you so silent? I thought I was the only shy one..." Jimin says smiling at his husband

They had just gotten home and freshened up after the wedding. They were staying in the apartment that Mr Park gifted them.

"Jimin...." Jungkook says, finally looking at the boy. Jimin could feel his heart breaking in anticipation. He knew something was wrong "...I... I was forced into this marriage..." those words shocked Jimin, his eyes widen "...I loved someone... I still do..." Jimin's eyes fill up with tears. It's not that he loved Jungkook but he accepted the man as his own, his life partner forever and to know the man didn't reciprocate and probably never would, hurt "...I just need some time to accept this marriage and forget her... I... I promise not to hurt you ..at least intentionally... I know I already hurt you by marrying you without saying anything..." Jimin could see the guilt in Jungkook's teary red eyes. The man must have been suffering too and so he decides to accept the truth and forgive the man

"S-So.. do you want to continue this relationship? Do you want a divorce?"

"Divorce?" Jungkook frowns "...n-no..I mean I don't think so... what's the point of divorcing when she will never come back..."

"Are you saying you will leave if she does?" Jimin tries to understand

"I don't know..." Jungkook sighs, his head down, a tear rolls down his cheek "...I don't know...I believe in marriages...I want us to work... but I can never be sure of the future... if you ask me right now if she was in front of me asking for me... then maybe yeah..." Jimin's heart breaks "...but I don't know..." Jungkook sadly smiles "...I know I am hurting you again with these words but I'm saying the truth... I don't know what I will do if I am to meet her again...after all she is my first love...my first in every sense..."

Jimin is silent as he takes in everything he is saying

"So what do you want to do then?" Jimin finally asks

"Let's stay together as ... friends..." Jimin lets out a sad chuckle "...I'm sorry I don't know what else to do..." Jungkook says leaning forward, covering his eyes with his palms as he sobbed into it

Jimin felt hurt, angry, upset but above all he couldn't see tears in Jungkook's eyes

"It's okay... let's start off as friends..." Jimin says giving the man a comforting hug

Jungkook and Jimin shared a beautiful friendship. The man was really grateful to Jimin for being so understanding and kind to him and he reciprocated the same. Jungkook made sure Jimin ate and was happy. He would drop Jimin off at work and pick him up. He would call the boy occasionally at work to see how he was doing. Jimin also did the same at times. They would shop together, cook and eat together. They had thought about sleeping in separate rooms but then decided against it as Jimin's dad had a spare key to their apartment and they didn't want to be surprised in the off chance that Mr Park suddenly decided to visit without a warning.

They often made sure to take time out for each other, doing things the other enjoyed doing. In a way, slowly they understood each other's likes and dislikes and made sure to surprise each other with the things the other liked. It wasn't surprising that though Jimin tried not to fall for his husband, he ended up falling deeper than the ocean is.
