[201] JIKOOK ONESHOTS/ PROMPTS - [ ONGOING ]

[87]LATE CONFESSION - OCT 29 2023

Jungkook was 5 years old when his dad made the decision to leave the family and move back to Seoul alone. Jungkook and his dad lived in Seoul but his dad decided to leave the boy at his family home as it was getting difficult to look after his son and the pressures at work. Jungkook's mom wasn't in his life anymore. Jungkook was definitely hurt that his only family was choosing work over him. He ran from the social gathering in Busan town where all the neighbours were at, this was the place he overheard his dad and grandparents talk about this decision. He ran a few feet away from all the festivities and bawled his eyes out

"Are you hurt somewhere?"

That voice makes Jungkook turn to look at a boy with eyes full of concern for him. The boy Jimin was only 7 years old but he brought a sense of home with the way he was comforting the 5 year old. Needless to say they became the closest of friends soon enough. It might have been a simple act but Jungkook was always thankful to Jimin and started having feelings for the boy.

Jimin was friendly and kind to everyone. Jungkook was the complete opposite. He was only kind and smiled at Jimin. Jimin's friends were always scared of the man. The man looked like he was ready to kill anyone who hurt the boy

Jungkook worked extra hard and skipped two grades up to be with Jimin when he saw some classmates of the boy teasing him and making the sensitive boy cry. Jungkook just wanted to protect the boy at all costs.

Jimin, when he turned 16 wanted to experience a relationship and wanted to try dating. Jungkook was hurt at the news. Jimin didn't want to date alone so he tried to get his single buddy to date as well but Jungkook refused.

Jimin couldn't help but pout at Jungkook rejecting yet another date

"Why don't you date anyone? I'm sure you are not that bad" A/N asked the man. She liked guys with a bad boy attitude and Jungkook was definitely giving away those vibes

"I already have someone I love then why should I date anyone else?"

"You love someone?! Who?!" She asks excited

Jungkook smiles slightly "My childhood best friend"

Jimin's heart skips a beat at that, his eyes widening hearing the confession. He was on his way up to the rooftop where he usually hung out with Jungkook when he hears the conversation.

Jungkook likes me? No... it can't be ... he probably meant someone else... but... im his only friend

Jimin walks away and as soon as he reaches the basement he gets a call from Jungkook. Jimin stares at the caller ID and his heart picks up pace. He felt excited and a bit shy and scared suddenly - this has never happened before

Jungkook sighs seeing Jimin pouting and decides to go on the double date that Jimin wanted to go on. His main idea was to make Jimin see that noone would be good enough for him, unless it was him of course.

But Jimin gets angry at that because now he was confused about his feelings towards the man and now that Jungkook suddenly agreed to date someone else when he thought the man loved him, now that hurt and angered him deeply

Jungkook has been noticing for a few days that Jimin was avoiding him on purpose whenever he tried to talk to the boy. Feeling frustrated Jungkook grabs Jimin's wrist and drags the boy to the rooftop, despite the boy trying to loosen the grip

"Why are you avoiding me Jimin?"

Jimin doesn't say anything but scoffs before turning to walk away

"I asked you something!"

"And I chose not to answer!" Jimin looks at the man

In his frustration, Jungkook grabs Jimin's wrists and pushes forward, making Jimin be trapped up against the wall and himself, both of Jimin's wrists being held up on either side of the boy's face

"What did I do for you to avoid me like this?!" Jungkook's voice was a mix of anger and sadness

Jimin looks at the man, watching his every feature deeply

"Do you...." Jungkook looks at the boy in confusion "...do you love me Jungkookah?"

Those words make Jungkook's grip on Jimin's wrists loosen as he steps back a little in panic

"Who ... who told you... what did you hear...?"

"Do you...?" Jimin's voice is a mix of sadness and longing

"Why are you asking me this? Are you disgusted that your best friend is gay for you?" - an angry tear runs down Jungkook's face

Jimin reaches out to wipe it as he shakes his head no,a tear rolls down his cheek too

"I'm just so sorry to realize my love for you so late .... I feel so ....so ...dumb.... how could I not see the man in front of me who loves me so much... how could I not realize that all along I loved this man back.." Jungkook's heart picks up pace as he hears the boy he loves confess to him "..... I wasted so much time by not confessing earlier... and I must have hurt you so much each time I brought up dating someone... only I know how much it hurt to hear you say you would go on a double date with me..." Jimin pouts

Jungkook chuckles before he cups Jimin's face ".. I can wait a million years for you... I love you so much"

"I love you too Jungkook...now kiss me"

Jungkook couldn't help but smile before pulling the tiny boy into a passionate kiss
