Jimin and Jungkook are engaged. It was arranged but they dated during their engagement period of 6 months now, their wedding was due in 2 months

Everything was going well between the couple till Jimin got a scar on his right arm after trying to save a little girl on the street from a dog. It was a big scar which he always covered by wearing long sleeves

Jimin was indeed insecure about it but Jungkook found it beautiful - not visually of course but the reason behind the scar made it invisible to the man. He only saw Jimin's heart and not his physical appearance

Everyday Jungkook would remind the boy of how beautiful the boy was. Jungkook's confidence and love for the boy, made Jimin accept himself and slowly come out of the shell. He soon started wearing half sleeve shirts, not minding the scar that took up most of his hand

Jungkook's mom, Ji-ah invites Jimin for lunch one day. She wanted to introduce Jimin to her best friend and take the two out for some shopping. Everything went well till Jimin excused himself to the washroom but before he went in, he came back to give his water bottle to the ladies when he hears the friend comment about his scar to someone

"I feel so sorry for Ji-ah... Jungkook is such a handsome and perfect man ... how could he end up with a guy with such a big scar... and how can he just flaunt it like that? Can't he cover it? Has he no shame? It's so embarrassing, you know... gosh!"

Jimin's heart broke. All the confidence he had gained came crushing down

So Jimin meets Jungkook that evening. They talked

"I am sorry ...I know you don't mind but you deserve someone flawless"

"You are flawless to me... and even if you think they are flaws ... they are beautiful to me ... please understand that I genuinely love you... for you being you..." Jungkook says, desperately

Jimin smiles sadly "I know... but I can't accept it..." Jimin shakes his head "...you have to let me go ..."

Jungkook whole world drops. He could anticipate what Jimin was trying to say

"Please let me go... if you love me... I can't breath JK..." Jimin sobs " I feel suffocated here... your love is suffocating me .." Jungkook's heart aches ".... the more you show that this doesn't matter, the more insecure I feel... I'm sorry..." Jungkook hugs the sobbing boy, patting his back

"It's okay... it's okay.. calm down..." Jungkook tries to hold his tears

"... please let me find myself .... let me love myself first...."

Jungkook pulls away to look at the tiny boy in his arms

"O-Okay.... but you can't stop me from waiting for you..." a tear drops from Jungkook's eyes

Jimin sobs harder as he hugs the man "...I'm so sorry... I.. I w-will come back to y-you..."

It took a year

A year away from Jungkook and his family for Jimin to recover.

They weren't in touch as much. Jungkook didn't really know much of what was going on in Jimin's life. All he knew was Jimin was consulting a psychologist for therapy and also a plastic surgeon to discuss options on minimizing the scars

Jimin felt really guilty for halting Jungkook's dreams but this was about their future, he needed to love himself first before he could love Jungkook completely

Jungkook's eyes widen and his lips morph into a huge smile seeing Jimin standing in front of him

Jungkook had just come back home and his mom had told him to go to the rooftop to get her plant pot down

Jungkook wanted to run to him and hug the boy, make sure he would never run away but he didn't know what Jimin wanted. He would wait forever for Jimin and that was a promise he would never break

Jimin smiles seeing the love and happiness radiating off Jungkook's eyes

"I love you JK.. thank you for everything ... thank you for letting me love myself ..." Jimin says stepping closer to the man "....will you marry me?"

Tears water in Jungkook's eyes as he lets out a wet chuckle "I thought you would never ask"

And with that Jimin is already jumping into Jungkook's arms. Both crying happy tears to be finally reunited

"I love you so much Jimim ah... don't you dare leave me again..."

"I love you too... I won't ever leave you again"
