Jimin first meets Jungkook when their families met each other for discussing the wedding of his elder brother Jin to Jungkook's older brother Namjoon

Jin was Namjoon's secretary and they had fallen in love. Namjoon was the current CEO of Jeon industries.

"Wow, your fiancée is really handsome" Jungkook comments to his brother

"Yea I know...." Namjoon smiles dreamily "...Don't you dare flirt with him!" He warns Jungkook

"Please... he isn't my type, don't worry"

Jungkook was 30 years old and into his own business ventures, he was quite successful as well. Jimin was currently in his last year of college - he was 22.

Jimin had actually come in late for the family dinner. He was out with his project partner and lost track of time. Jungkook was impatiently waiting for the youngest member of the Park family. He was hungry, he had business matters to deal with and their families had decided to wait for Jimin.

Jungkook had already decided Jimin was not worth his time.

Jungkook was talking on the phone in the balcony when he sees the boy being dropped off. Jungkook sees the boy squatting down to pet a stray cat outside the gate before the boy ran into the house with his backpack and some books in hand. Jungkook stops talking as he watches the clumsy boy trip over nothing. Noone has ever managed to captivate the man before, Jungkook found it intriguing

Jungkook immediately cuts the call as his eyes follow the boy. He sees Jimin brisk walk into the house and then bow down respectfully, apologizing for his work running late

Jungkook couldn't help but feel his heart beat fast as the boy spoke, his apologetic smile and his serving attitude as the boy served the families, asking his mom and Jin to eat as well.

Jimin was beautiful to him. He wanted the boy. What for? Jungkook himself doesn't know. It didn't help his competitive nature and ego that Jimin didn't pay him attention as much as he had hoped

Jimin indirectly rejects him the second the boy realizes that the man was interested in him. First, Jungkook was supposed to be like a brother to him since he is Jin's brother in law. And second, Jungkook was nearly 8 years older than him. For sure the man was experienced and too mature for his childlike attitude.

Jungkook was mad. He hadn't even asked the boy out and Jimin refused him saying he wasn't interested in a relationship while they were discussing about their brother's wedding

The reason why Jimin felt Jungkook was interested was because - the man would take any opportunity to spend time with him, especially alone. They did a lot of wedding related activities and chores together. Whenever they were alone or seemed like people around them were too busy to notice them, Jungkook would linger around the boy, hover over him - a bit too close yet not really touching. Jungkook would smirk as he complimented the boy. Jungkook wouldn't take no for an answer. The man would go to Jimin's college to pick the boy up on excuse that it was for wedding related emergencies and it would end with them going to watch a movie or eating out or anything of the sort.

Jimin was kinda scared of the man. Jungkook could be intimidating

"I think I met you in another life that's why I feel a connection...." Jungkook tries to get the boy interested in him

"I'm sorry but I don't think so..." Jimin says uninterested as he looks through the decorations

Jungkook starts following the boy to get him to agree to date him - not all the time but consistent enough to make Jimin know he was there
