[89] OUT OF LOVE - NOV 25 2023

Jungkook and Jimin had an arranged marriage. Their parents had met through mutual friends and had liked the other's kid for their own. The currently newly wed couple, having no other relationships at the time, agreed to the marriage after meeting each other. The two liked each other since the first time they met and it didn't take long for them to fall deeper in love with each other after the marriage.

The couple had a daily routine they followed- waking up, cooking breakfast together, going to work together as much as possible, Jungkook picking Jimin back from work, cooking dinner together, sleeping together. They were the ideal couple - till they weren't

It has been almost 3 years now that they have been married. Jimin started noticing how distant Jungkook was becoming. It was not like Jungkook was rude or abusive towards Jimin, it was more like the silence hurt. Though Jungkook was physically present with Jimin, it felt like the man's mind was somewhere else. Jimin couldn't understand why. He knew Jungkook's new boss was extra strict, especially towards him because he was aiming for the managerial position and the boss had his cousin who he wanted to give the position to, but the boss wasn't the sole person to decide it and Jungkook was more than qualified for the position while his cousin wasn't at all. The boss wanted to overwork Jungkook and make him voluntarily quit if need be. But Jungkook didn't let that affect him - the managerial position was something he wanted since forever and he had worked so hard for it to give it up at the last moment.

Jimin had just found out he was nearly 3 months pregnant now and the doctors had told him to abort the child since Jimin's body wouldn't be able to handle the stress of the pregnancy and delivery. Jimin was really burdened by the thought and decided to go to Jungkook right then and there. He needed to talk to Jungkook about this.

Jimin's eyes fill up with tears as he holds a hand up against his mouth and the other over his belly

The boy was standing outside Jungkook's office room when he heard the man talking to his friend

"I don't know anymore..." Jungkook's voice is filled with regret "...I really hope Jimin falls out of love with me... just like I did..."

Jimin leaves

Taehyung hugs the crying man "...I think you need to talk to him about what is bothering you.... I seriously doubt that you fell out of love... I think your mind is just burned out with all the work stress..."

Jimin thought about what he heard Jungkook say. He started observing the man and saw how Jungkook was avoiding him as much as he could and his eyes always looked regretful.

Jimin decides to let Jungkook go - for the sake of the man's mental health

"Jungkook ah.... the reason I asked you to stay back is because... I think... I fell out of love with you... and I want a divorce..."

Jimin's words shock Jungkook to the core. His heart hurt. This was what he wanted but now hearing Jimin say that, really hurt. He didn't want it anymore.

"You don't mean that! You are joking right?! It's a prank right?!" Jungkook's voice was desperate like he was begging Jimin to stay but that only made Jimin more upset as he believed Jungkook was just putting up a show now to make himself a bad person

"I mean it Jungkook! There is no point in this relationship anymore!"

"Jimin..." Jungkook whispers

"Being with you hurts... and I don't want to hurt anymore..."

That makes Jungkook stop whatever was going on in his mind to make Jimin stay

I am hurting him.

They divorce and Jimin moves cities

Taehyung comes to Jungkook's house with tears streaming down his face.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... I just came to know now..."

Jungkook was confused till Taehyung speaks again

"Jimin never fell out of love... he was pregnant at that time and he overheard us talking about you falling out of love... his pregnancy was complicated...." Jungkook's heart picks up pace "....I'm sorry... Jimin didn't make it...."

Jungkook's heart stops

Jungkook cried as he held his baby boy in his arms. Jimin died giving birth to their child

"I love kids and I can't wait to be a father... and I'm so glad that I will, in the future,get to experience that with you... I want you to be the father of my child, Jimin..."

"And I want to give you just that... hopefully soon..."

"I'm sorry my love... I'm sorry for not fighting harder for us... I'm sorry that because of me, you had to suffer... but you are so selfish... you left without saying anything... you left me here alone to bear the consequences of my decisions... and no matter how much I apologize or try to do things right... you are never coming back..." Jungkook cried "...I love you Jimin... I love you so much.... and thank you for our baby boy... it's so sad that he won't ever get to see how amazing of an appa you would have been.... and it's all my fault... I'm sorry my Jungminie... I'm sorry dadda killed your appa.... but I promise you that I will love you for the both of us..." Jungkook sadly smiles at the baby in his arms, the baby resembling Jimin

"Wow... that hurt... emotional movie.... so Jungkook never fell out of love but he just got used to the usual routines and nothing excited him anymore...." Jimin sighs

"Jungkook thought he fell out of love but actually his work stress and Jimin's health decline all acted together... a relationship stays strong when both sides work hard to maintain it... and communication is key... something the two missed to do...." Taehyung states before sighing and getting up off the sofa "...I better leave... your muscle bunny seems to want to kill me and eat you alive..."

Jimin chuckles as he sees Jungkook glaring at the TV. He bids Taehyung goodbye and returns back to the living room and heads towards the bedroom

"Where do you think you are going baby boy?" Jungkook's voice stops Jimin

"To the bedroom...why?"

Jungkook stands up from the sofa and walks towards the boy with calculated steps making Jimin gulp at the intense look

"I think you forgot something..."

"What?" Jimin is confused

"You don't walk to the bedroom..." Jungkook throws Jimin over his shoulder "...I take you..." he says before smacking Jimin's ass as he walks them to their bedroom
