A/N : sequel to Be My Queen [96]

Jungkook and Jimin started living together after getting blessings from both mafia families. The Jeon family were of course happy and excited that Jungkook finally had someone he loved and loved him back. The Park family weren't that excited for the relationship especially with Jimin backing out of fighting against the mafia king but the Park family knew Jimin never liked being involved in the Mafia business and they eventually learned to be content with the fact that Jimin was the Mafia king's partner.

The initial months of their relationship were great. They spend a lot of time together so much to the point that Jungkook even skipped out on his mafia missions, letting his skilled team handle them. Jimin didn't like that very much. He of course appreciated the time he got with the man but he couldn't help but feel guilty for stopping the man from his work. The two discuss the same and Jungkook reluctantly goes on his missions, his work intensifying greatly because he wanted to get back home quicker to his lover. Jimin helped the man in his many missions as well so it wasn't like the man was totally away from his cute queen

Then the day came, the mission that could possibly last upto 6 months. Jimin hadn't been feeling well a few days back and so Jungkook insisted the boy rest at home.

"I know there is no guarantee on how long this will go... I'm gonna miss you terribly..." Jungkook says hugging his queen "....but that just gives me all the more motivation to complete this mission without any mess to get to you sooner..." Jungkook pecks the boy's forehead "...I love you..."

Jimin smiles "I love you more..."

Jungkook returns home 2 months later, finishing things faster and getting injured more than anticipated, but he couldn't wait to get home - he knows how Jimin would be, all ready to pamper him for his injuries like he always does. Jungkook couldn't contact Jimin in these months as it could be risky and decides to give the boy a surprise on the mission that was successfully completed

Imagine his surprise when Jimin looked like he was a walking dead man. Jimin didn't smile when he saw the man walk through the door,nor did he rush to the man like he normally would with the first aid kit to help him

"Oh... you are back... how was the mission?" Jimin asks, not even looking at the man seated on the bed.

Jungkook looks at the boy busy with taking the first aid kit.

"It was tough but everything is over now..."

"That's great..." Jimin says tending to Jungkook's wounds " ..I'm glad everything is okay now..." Jimin's words didn't reflect in his eyes nor voice

Jungkook continues staring at the boy with uneasiness that was till Jimin stands up to return the kit

"Are you okay?" Jungkook holds Jimin's wrist with his uninjured left arm

Jimin's back faced the man. He was silent for a moment, as if trying to compose himself

"Yes...can you let my hand go?" Jimin tilts his head to the side to face Jungkook

Jungkook's hold on Jimin loosens

Jungkook doesn't know why but Jimin wasn't himself. He could see Jimin was trying to smile and be his bubbly self but something was just off. He asks his house staff but they don't know either, all they could say was Jimin hadn't been feeling too good from the few days before Jungkook left and then the day before Jungkook returned, Jimin had been unusually quiet and kept to his room.
