A/N: sequel to age gap [33]. This can be considered a stand alone story

Jimin and Jungkook start dating. They are together for the past 5 years now. Jimin 23 has graduated college while Jungkook 28 now has finally settled down in life. It was hard for him, having no family for himself and no property to his name, no stable career at the time and having Mr Park look at him with a bit of a disapproval, though understandable - was hard, really hard for the man but he made it. It took years but Jungkook finally found a stable business he liked, Mr Park approved of him now, his love for Jimin grew every day, Jimin loved him back even more. What more could the man ask for? Nothing. But what Jimin was going to tell him next made his whole world stop.

Jimin was skilled and he got an offer to study in the fashion capital of the world- Paris. Jungkook was definitely happy for the boy but having Jimin be away from him for 3 years wasn't. Jungkook was even more disappointed that Jimin agreed to go without first discussing with him. According to the boy, he assumed Jungkook to move with him. But the boy failed to realise that Jungkook was finally achieving the good life after years of struggle. Jungkook had finally accepted he had a life worth living for. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the boy and he expected Jungkook to understand that.

"Then I am not going!" Jimin says stubbornly

"This is your dream. I will definitely support you. But I can't come with you. I'm establishing my life here. I just started my business, I am responsible for a lot here...I can't leave..." Jungkook tries to reason with a disappointed Jimin

"So you are okay with being away from me for 3 years? Don't you care about us?! Aren't you happy for me?!"

"I am happy for you Jimin" Jungkook smiles sadly

"I don't see it" Jimin's voice had a sharp edge to it

"Jimin" Jungkook sighs

"No Jungkook! Long distance relationships don't work... I will go crazy not having you beside me..don't you love me Jungkook?" Jimin's eyes fill up

"I love you and that's why I am saying - Trust in our love. I would do anything for you. But believe me, me coming there won't help anyone. It would be a honeymoon period only for the first couple of days, then you would get busy with your courses while I will be left there with nothing to do. Go live your dream, and let me live mine. Though mine is to live with you forever, this isn't our end..."

Jimin stares at the man who held so much love for him in his eyes, covered with overwhelming sadness

Jimin couldn't help but sob. Jungkook gently pulls the boy into his arms

"W-Will you wait for me?" Jimin sobs into Jungkook's chest

Jungkook chuckles slightly as he pulls away to wipe Jimin's tears "...who else am I living for? Of course I will wait for you.... for a lifetime..."

Soon,

Jimin moves to France. They try the long distance relationship though it was really hard for the both of them due to the time difference and with both of them being busy in their careers. But no matter what, they had both settled on never letting their work life affect their relationship and even though it was stressful and tiring, they made it work.

3 long years pass by

Jungkook gets off work that day, dialing Jimin's number like he usually does but it doesn't connect. He frowns but kept trying as he drove back home after a tiring day - Jimin's cheerful voice was his energy. He was definitely upset.

Soon,

Jungkook tiredly opens the door and though the place is as he left it, he sensed something different. He cautiously walked inside, when he sees Jimin exiting through the now opened bedroom door. Jungkook stood frozen

Jimin smiles seeing the man as he stands a bit surprised near the door. He thought Jungkook would call him while he drove him. He forgot that his international SIM didn't work here anymore.

"J-Jimin..."

Jimin smiles wider "I came back a week earlier...did you like my surprise?"

Jungkook walks slow first but then speeds up and crashes the boy in a tight hug

"I missed you! Is this why your number was switched off? When did you come? Did you rest? Did you eat....?"

Jimin pulls away and cuts Jungkook off with a soft kiss as the man again became frozen.

Jimin giggles

"I missed you too... a lot..." Jimin's eyes glisten as he sees the man look at him with so much love

"I missed you... you have no idea... you are never allowed to leave me again!" Jungkook hugs him again

"I know... I won't leave you again... it isn't worth it..." Jimin fists his fingers over Jungkook's shirt

Jungkook pulls away slightly, Jimin still in his arms as he glances across the boy's face with a slight smile

"I love you so much" the man declares as he softly pecks the boy's forehead, his tear drop wetting Jimin's cheek

"J-Jungkook..." Jimin pulls away, shocked. He has never seen the man cry

"These are happy tears.... I love you..." Jungkook rests his forehead against Jimin's

"I love you too..." Jimin smiles
