[104] APPROACHING HIM FOR A REASON - JAN 10 2024

A/N: apologizing in advance. I had an idea but when I actually wrote it, I couldn't frame it well enough. Still, I wanted to post this, even if it makes no sense

Taehyung and Jimin are best friends from college. They both like each other but their feelings remain unsaid, both living in the moment and afraid to ruin what they already have.

Jungkook was driving home one day and was stopped at a traffic signal when he noticed a boy running behind a little girl who couldn't seem to stop her cycle. Jungkook watched in awe as the boy ran and jumped in front of the girl to stop her from injuring herself. He watched as her parents came running and bowing to the boy who helped the little girl. The boy hugged the girl as she cried in his arms before the boy bowed and handed the girl to her parents.

Jungkook couldn't help but admire the boy's beauty, selflessness and courage. Jungkook was brought to reality when the cars behind him honked for him to move forward.

Jungkook didn't know who the boy was but it brought him many restless nights wanting to know more about the boy

"Sir, that is Jimin, Taehyung's best friend. My sources say he is in love with the boy"

Jungkook smirked

"That gives me all the more reason to make you mine, Jeon Jimin..."

Jungkook decides to finally approach the boy but not in an obvious way. He just made himself appear in Jimin's vicinity in such a way that Jimin would always notice him - for example helping someone cross the street when Jimin is right next to him, offering up his seat on the metro for the elderly and many such generous acts. Occasionally running into each other at the coffee shop. Jimin found the man cute

Nearly a month of constantly being in Jimin's presence, the man suddenly disappears and the boy misses him. He constantly looked around him to see if he could even catch a glimpse of the mysterious man. Then, one day Jimin was just stepping into the metro when he tripped and nearly smashed his face onto the floor if it wasn't for a pair of strong arms who held him

"Careful sweetheart"

Jimin looks up to see the man

"T-thank you..." Jimin stands up straight and away from the man's arms

They stand in silence next to each other till Jimin decides to speak

"Were you on vacation or something these past few days?" Jimin asks making the man look at him confused

Jimin chuckles "I'm sorry... I have been noticing you for a while now... we take the same subway, go to the same grocery store... we have similar routines so I...." Jimin turns red. What will he think of me now?

"So you stalked me?" The man asks amused

"What! No! I ..." Jimin panics

The man chuckles, "I was just kidding. It's an honor to be noticed by a cute beautiful guy like you..." the man extends his hand towards the boy "...I'm Jungkook..."

"Hi... I'm Jimin..." Jimin says shaking Jungkook's hand, making the man grin

They start hanging out at times whenever Jimin wasn't busy with Taehyung.

Jungkook starts demanding more attention from Jimin making the boy slowly drift away from Taehyung. It was always subtle that Jimin never understood that Jungkook was trying to take him away from Taehyung
