Chapter 71(Battle at the Royal Capital)

The attack at the capital continued. The castle's walls crumble from the destruction, the top roof all gone. Screams of innocence can be heard. The flickering of the fire due to the destruction can be heard. The floating dungeon hovers above the castle as its top part glows with ethereal and serene light. Ten to eleven elves stood above standing at a certain pattern traced beneath them. The patterns matched that of the magic stone tablet that Patri was using to gather the magic stone to resurrect the elves.

"Those who guide the elves. The Apostles of Sephirah" They chanted.

The Apostles of Sephirah consisted of a possessed Rill, Droit, Fana, Veto, Reve, Possessed Kaiser, an unknown elf whose eyes were covered with his hair, Patri, Licht, and Rhya.

Patri steps forward, delighted to see Licht, "Licht it's you."

However Licht didn't give any response, his face was blank. His eyes held no emotion or recognition that tugged on Patri's heart.

Rhya places a hand on the Patri's shoulder in a comforting gesture, "He's not saying much but I can guarantee you, he's in there somewhere deep down." Rhys then walks forward, "Trust me Patri as soon as the reincarnation is complete, you'll see the old Licht again."

"I understand." The Patri remembers something, "Wait, what about that boy?"

Rhya glances at Patri, recognizing who Patri was talking about as he remembers Yuno, "Oh yeah. That was weird. He was reincarnated like us but somehow he kept the human's personality."

Patri was not expecting this surprise, "Are you serious?"

"Don't sweat it. He'll come around too when everything's finished." Rhya brings his hand out, "Let's go and walk over there." With that Rhya begins to walk away.

"Okay..."

Rhya soon stands on his spot of the symbol, "Man, get a load of this view. The party is in full swing." His smirk widens, "now then, let's get started."

With that, the markings that the Apostles of Sephirah were standing begin to glow beneath their feet. The ethereal light began to envelop them and everything around them as they stood at the top of the floating dungeon.

"By infusing gravital stones with magic, we open the door below Clover Castle and release the seal on of the underworld."

Soon a dark ominous energy begins to form beneath the Clover castle, surrounding its entire structure. A dark shadow begins to grow around it, looming like a haunting beast.

Captain Yami and Captain Jack of the praying mantis both stood together near the crumbled palace entrance as they felt the dark energy growing rapidly around them. The dark suffocating energy was closing around them as it intensified. The dark energy begins to take the shape of a shadow-like palace. Yami and Jack watched in astonishment as the large shadow grew in size.

"What the hell is that?" Yami was stunned.

Soon a portal begins to open up. It was spherical, surrounded by blue lightning. It looked more like a gateway. Anyone who looks at it can feel the dark, sinister, and deadly power emitting from the portal. Any mage with the ability to sense mana can feel a chill running down their spines.

Zora who was looking from his point gritted his teeth, "This doesn't look good."

"Nozel, what is happening to the castle?" Noelle, now transformed into her new Valkyrie dress, asked her brother.

"I don't understand this at all." Mimosa could not believe her eyes at what she was seeing.

"This is a magic space that serves as a border between this world and the next. The elves entrusted the humans with an ancient pact. It's called the shadow palace. It can only be opened by the Apostles of Sephirah. Ten elves who can receive divine messages. See?"
