The remaining magic knights were still present at the royal capital, recharging themselves as Charmy's cotton magic was doing the trick. Her cotton creation magic that created the cooking sheep chef, cooks with profession and vigorously, with Charmy still chowing down, encouraging her squad mates.
"Eat up! Don't let a single crumb go to waste! Nom! Nom! Nom!"
The other members eat at her speed too. Noelle ate properly like royalty, while Sally lazily sat at broken debris, eating her meal. Asta sits on the floor chowing down with Mimosa using her plant recovery magic on him.
Reve was also eating with Isabella holding her bowl and taking small bites, yet her mind was completely elsewhere. It was hard for her to focus, especially with the Shadow Palace still looming near them.
She can see the haunting deep red color form of the castle. It felt horrific, terrifying, menacing, sadistic, and utterly disgusting.
It almost made her want to throw up. Almost.
But she knows that's not the case.
She grips her head in irritation, feeling some sort of familiar pain, emerging from her scalps, making her want to pull her hair.
The worst part about the pain was, it was going straight to her eyes.
Her blind sightless eyes.
It somehow reminded her of the overwhelming pain of her eyes burning. She can't help but remember about once feeling a scorching pain in her eyes. She still remembers it. The memory in her mind was buried inside of her like a constant reminder. Something she can't quite reach and yet it still loomed like a nightmare she had no idea of.
And her eyes. They were lost because of this color.
Red.
"Isabella?"
Isabella snaps from her thoughts and looks up at Reve, who looks at her with concern. The elven woman's bowl was empty as she held onto it on her lap.
"Are you alright? You've been spacing out for a while."
Isabella looks around, seeing the silhouette of everyone, devouring their meal at a hilarious speed. Everyone was doing their best to heal themselves so they could fight the remaining elves. Gauche tries to feed Marie with a spoon, much to Marie's annoyance.
"Here Marie." Gauche brings a mouthful spoon close to his little sister, "Ready? Ahhh-"
Marie looks at her brother, clearly flustered by her brother's public display of affection, "Could not please do that?"
"There's no need to be shy around me, my darling goddess. Ahhhh-"
With a blush still on her face, but now annoyed by her brother's antics she looks away, "I told you to cut it out."
Gauche felt his heart shatter, his sister's rejection stinging him brutally. He never likes his sister rejecting him like that.
However, his heartbreak didn't last long as Gordon was behind him with a spoonful of bite right behind him, hovering the spoon close to him, "Have a bite Gauche." Gordon spoke in his soft whispering voice, "There's no need to be shy around me either. Ahhhh-"
An irk mark grew on Gauche.
"Ah yes. My beautiful magic is being replenished bit by impeccable bit" Krisch dazzles as he feels his mana restoring.
"This Is great!" Asta cheers as his eyes sparkle with stars, "That healing magic for yours makes me as good as new." Mimosa's healing spell stops with Asta moving his arms more comfortably. He looks up at Mimosa with glee, "Thank you so much Mimosa!"
