Percy's POV

California was a bit warmer.

Sadly, the winter beach wasn't as beautiful as the summer beach. There weren't many people. I went back in the cabin and went to the bathroom. I hoped monsters wouldn't come close if I had the sea nearby. I had been here for nearly a week now. I had healed, though another suicide attempt had put me back. I strained to look back at the wound that Knione had made. Frost still was left around the wound, numbing it. I sighed and put the bandages back on and stared at the long cuts on my wrists. I huffed and sunk them in water. I wouldn't die, no matter how much blood I lost. I couldn't stab my heart. I might not die of it, and if I didn't I would be able to move and the probability of a monster finding me

Tartarus was keeping me alive.

I scowled.

Lets see how well you can.

~

I examined the bottle carefully.

A painful way of suicide.

I wondered how Tartarus would prevent me from dying this time.

Drink it. All of it.

A painful way of suicide.

I shrugged.

Not bad.

I put the bottle to my lips and drank in the liquid without a thought. It burned. The excruciating pain burned through my whole body, making me want to stop.
I gasped and dropped the bottle, falling to my knees. My stomach turned and I vomited. The burning sensation wouldn't stop. It was extremely painful, but somewhat thrilling. I knew I was losing it. Laughing, I hunched over.

Can you still keep me alive?

Annabeth's POV

"You saw him?"

Jessica nodded.
I took a deep breath.
"How... How was he?"
"I- I'm not sure. He was in a hurry. But..."
"But?"
"Khione. She stabbed him."
"What?!"
"She froze our feet to the ground, so we couldn't help him. I think he ran away though."
I sighed in frustration. "You don't know where he went."
She nodded, and I covered my face with my hands. "I wish we had a clue about him."
"I just hope he's okay."
I looked at her and smiled. "Thanks Jess. This would be hard for you too."
She shook her head. "We weren't even dating...."
I patted her on the shoulder. "Thanks."
I stood up and left the cabin, knowing exactly what I had to say.

I was going to look for Percy. Myself.

"Excuse me?"

The person at the counter smiled at me.
"Yes?"
"Was there this person.... Tall, with black hair and sea green eyes? He was here about a day ago..."
"What was his name?"
"Percy... Percy Jackson."
She typed in a few things. "Yes... He was here. He checked out a day ago."
My breath hitched. "Yes... Was there anything odd in the room?"
She furrowed her eyebrows.
"There was a blackout yesterday, so we didn't get to clean the rooms. Who...?"
"Oh." I said hastily. "I'm his friend."
She nodded slowly.
"Can I.... Go in his room?"
"But-"
"I'll pay."
She gave me the key and I pressed the elevator button. Maybe the room could give me a clue about where he went. Something....
A pleasant ding told me I was there and I stepped out of it. I took a deep breath and opened the door.

There was no clue.

Only remains of his pain.

I took a few steps foward before collasping in the bloodstained room. I knew whose blood it was. I grabbed the dagger in front of me and it slipped out of my fingers.

It was him.

"Percy..."

Tears fell out of my eyes.

Where are you?

srry. Short.
