I sat on top of the building watching over everything suddenly I saw someone coming up the empty street. I smiled when I saw a familiar sheriff's hat. This is my thing if you could call it that. I spend a week wandering around the neighborhood traveling on top of rooftops with my sniper and making sure that there are not too many walkers heading towards the camp. I come back for a week then go back for a week but this time I had been gone for around 2 weeks. I don't know why but I haven't been thinking straight and I'm down all the time so I figured being outside the walls would be good for me.
All of a sudden I heard a gunshot ring off, then several more Carl hadn't noticed me, but when I looked down walkers were swarming him.
"Shit" I mumbled under my breath.
I placed my gun on the edge of the building and started firing sending each bullet to sink through the dead walkers head. I saw Carl look around for the source of the sound until one almost bit him but before it could get its rotten teeth into his flesh I sent a bullet straight through its skull. Once all the walkers were dead the confused boy looked around everywhere until his face lit up when he saw me on the top of the old store roof. He motioned me to come down not wanting to raise his voice and risking attract walkers. I jumped over to the next rooftop and slid down the fire escape and onto the ground.
"Hey stranger where have you been for the past 2 weeks I thought you were dead" Carl said pulling me in by my waist.
"I needed to clear my mind" I admitted.
"We all need to do that every once in a while" He said hugging me tightly. That's one of the many reasons I loved Carl he got me, he got that I needed time to myself and he wasn't controlling but he was over protective but that's sometimes a good thing.
"I guess you should head back" I said pulling out of the hug.
"Are you crazy, I came out here to find you, I figured we could spend the day together I told my dad I would be back with you by tomorrow" He smiled. At first, I wanted to say no but I figured it would do my good to spend a little alone time with my boyfriend.
"I like that idea" I said taking his hand and going into a little abandoned shack that I had already cleared."Don't worry I already cleared it" I said.
"It's a nice" He said admiring the finished wood floors and the cozy bed in the corner of the small room.
"Ya" I said taking off my boots and jacket which were cold from the freezing wind outside.
"It's nice to be alone once in a while" He said laying down on the bed and throwing the blanket over both of us once I got into bed with him.
"Ya it is" I cuddled closer to him. The nice thing about Carl is that he never expected that alone time meant sex. He knew that I was exhausted and he knew that sex wasn't the only thing in a relationship. I mean its good but he knows that just spending time with each other is amazing and that's why I fell in love with him in the first place.
"I love you" I whispered to him.
"I love you too" He said in my ear softly while we both slowly fell asleep in each other's arms.
During the night we woke up and fooled around a little bit since we were alone we could make out and giggle as loud as we wanted to without being teased although I knew it was coming when we got back to Alexandria but this way there was no embarrassment of being caught in the middle of a make out session.
"I don't want to go back" I sighed.
"What! Why not" He quickly sat up on the bed propping his elbow up for support.
"Not like that, I mean I want to go back just not right now" I giggle scoching in closer to him.
"Me too" He laid back down a wrapped his arms around me."We can stay for about another hour until my dad gets pissed" He giggled.
"Good" I rolled over and kissed him softly as he held me in his arms.

"Okay now we have to go back" He said getting up off the bed bringing me with him.
"Fine" I sighed while putting back on my boots.
"Come on we can still have fun in Alexandria" He said heading out the door as I followed close behind him.
"I know" I smiled while interlacing our fingers.
We walked back together until the we saw the gates slowly opeinging once we returned.
"Aw no isn't it my favorite couple" Maggie teased.
"Hey what about us, were definantly a better couple then these two" Glenn shouted to Maggie.
"Oh stop getting so jealous Glenn" I teased joinging in with Maggie.
"Ya just because Y/N and I are a cuter couple it dosn't mean that Maggie dosn't love you" Carl said in a fake pouty voice.
"Shut up" He said facing back towards outside while Maggie playfully hit his shoulder.
"Bye Maggie, bye Glenn" I said dragging out the Glenn part.
"He's so easy to piss off" Carl joked.
"I am not" We heard Glenn shout.
"How did he hear that" I whispered to Carl.
"I have super hearing" Glenn joked.
"Damn your good" I shouted back.
"That's what Maggie says in bed" He shouted back causing all of us to giggle except for Maggie who hit Glenn on the arm pretty hard.
"You better keep your mouth shut or you won't be getting anything for a while" Maggie shouted loud enough for us to hear. Carl and I both giggled and snickered while we walked back towards the Grimes house hold where more teasing from Darly and Rick awaited.
