I was going on a three-week run. Yep, a three- week run...without Carl. The group did this every couple of months we would pick a group of 5 people to go out for 3-4 weeks and gather any essential supplies we needed. Of course at first Carl didn't want me to go anywhere out of the walls without him and it took him a good three days to convince but eventually, he gave in and let me go. I knew he was still uncomfortable with the idea but he had to live wth it for now and trust me and the group to all stay alive.
"You're still thinking about tomorrow" I said looking over at Carl who was lying in bed and staring up at the ceiling.
"I guess I'm just nervous" He said looking over to me as I crawled into bed,
"Everything will be fine Carl we will be back in no time and with your dad gone you will be so busy you won't even have time to miss me" I teased as he wrapped his arms around me and brought me in closer while resting his head on my shoulder.
"I'm going to spend all my time missing you and I won't have time to do anything else" He teased back.
"I can't promise you I will be back but I will promise you I will try my damn best to get back to you"I said while flipping over so I was facing him I placed a small kiss before drifting off into sleep.

The next morning I got up early meeting up with my dad (Daryl), Maggie, Glenn and Rick we all said our goodbyes before we left.
"You will see me soon" I whispered while placing one last loving kiss on his lips.
"I know" He smiled back hiding the worry and sadness I knew he was feeling.
"I love you" I said placing a kiss on his forehead before jumping into the car and driving away.
"I love you too" He mouthed as I looked back from the car and waved goodbye.

"Clear" I yelled for what felt like the 50th time. Its's been only a week now and that's all I have been doing checking abandoned stores for food, walkers, and anything else that might be lurking around.
"Clear over here to" Yelled Glenn back over to me. Him, Maggie and I were checking this store while Rick and Daryl went down the street to check other stores down there.
"What's going on" Maggie said looking over to make sure Glenn was far enough away so he couldn't hear.
"Nothing why" I said while checking a can of old food, also trying not to seem upset that I had been away from Carl so long although it was kind of a nice break to get away from everyone else.
"I know something is up you barely talk and you barely even breath you're acting so weird" Maggie chuckled.
"I guess I'm just homesick" I said shrugging it off.
"No, you're Carl sick" She teased.
"That was a bad joke" I giggled.
"I know but it made you laugh" She giggled back.
"What are you two giggling about" Glenn came over and raised an eyebrow at the two giggling girls.
"Nothing just things" I grinned while walking away to leave Maggie and Glenn to whisper about me and how I was acting strangely although I was just upset.

CARL'S P.O.V:
I lied in bed after finishing all the wall checks and closing up the gates, I missed Y/N it had only been a week and I was already slowly going insane without her which said something that I wasn't sure was good or bad... But all I knew was thatI missed her and her touch, and her face so badly. It didn't take me long to fall asleep I was exhausted I guess I kind of missed my dad to, seeing how I was now stuck with all his work which sucked.
"Hey, Carl" Rebecca's voice echoed and filled the silent room causing me to jump at the sudden noise.Rebecca had been here for a while now she got here shortly after I did although we never really became friends.
"Oh hey, Rebecca" I chuckled.
"Watcha up to" She said coming over and placed herself on the bed next to me.
"Nothing just about to go to sleep" I yawned.
"Oh"
"Why" I asked.
"Oh, no reason I just thought we could talk" She said rubbing her hand up and down my leg.
"Oh" I pulled my leg away uncomfortably."I was actually just about to go to sleep" I said.
"Oh okay" She was acting very weird, she was usually the quiet one that would just wonder around with Enid."I'll go then" She said getting off the bed and leaving as she slammed the door shut. I sighed in relief as she made her way downstairs. I flipped my body over so I was facing the nightstand I reached over and grabbed a picture frame that held a picture of Y/N and I laughing, Tara had taken it one day when we were out on a run. She found one of those polaroid camera's and took a picture of Y/N and I.
"No shut up don't tell the story" She chuckled while hitting my arm.
"So once Y/N and I were on watch together and when she was climbing up she got her foot caught and she...." I went on only to be interrupted by Y/N again.
"Oh come on let him finish the story Y/N" Sasha called out.
"No it's so embarassing" She burried her fance into my shoulder trying to hide her pink cheeks.
"She fell but her foot got stuck in between the two steps so she got stuck upside down and I had to help her after I was done laughing my ass off" I continued as she laughed into my shoulder.
"It dosn't seem that enbarassing" Tara said.
"Ya well you try being stuck in that position while your idiot boyfriend is laughing so hard he is almost crying" She chuckled.
We were all laughing that's when Tara had taken the picture of Y/N and I.
"Here" She said handing me the picture of us laughing as Y/N as her head on my shoulder.
"Awe it's cute" Maggie said over our shoulders.
"Ya I like it" Y/N said as she kissed me on the cheek.
"Me to" Everyone went back to talking to each other having their own conversations as Y/N and I had ours.
"I never thought I would actually be in another picture" She said.
"Same it seems weird to be able to even take a picture" I replied.
"I'm glad Tara found that camera though it's a nice picture" She smiled and I placed a kiss on her lips. She smiled again and brought me in for another one.
"I love you" She had said for the very first time. I was a little shocked at first but I didn't hesitate to say it back.
"I love you too" I smiled and gave her another kiss until we were interrupted by the groups teasing.
