An Easy Win!

Wala akong alam kung ano ang plano ni Keila, but base on the way she looks so confident right now, siguro kaya niya na to. She hasn't told us about the the plan yet, she said she wanted to confirm something.

I sighed while we're currently waiting for the second phase to start. At may pinoproblema pa kami, how can we figure out a way that would let us conceal our memories from each other? And Keila is as quiet as usual. Malalim yata ang iniisip niya. Can't this girl even not think for even a minute?

Biglang may lumabas na numero sa screen. Lahat kami ay napatingin dito. Isang countdown. Ten seconds. Seems like we have no choice but to share our memories. Kahit ayaw ko wala kaming magagawa. And when I looked at the screen, five seconds nalang ang countdown. Bago pa man maging zero, hinawakan kami ni Keila sa balikat, and Iyana was surprised about it.

Before I knew it, nasa ibabaw na kami ng Hargeon Tower, sabay paglabas ng kwintas sa leeg namin. Tama nga, malamig nga dito sa tuktok ng tower, and what's worse is that I can't hardly breathe. Ang bawat paghinga ko ay may lumalabas na puting hininga, a reminder how cold my bodyn is right now.

My eyes widened when I realised something. I can't see their memories, I can't share their emotions, I can't sense them at all. What's going on? Na realise din ito ni Iyana kaya sabay kaming naoatingin kay Keila na ngayon ay nakatalikod sa amin, she's looking at the skies.

We're surrounded by humid air, an indication na uulan na maya-maya. Starting here is indeed a bad idea. Walang hagdan o pintuan pababa, in other words we can't escape from this place. Kaya paano kami makakapunta sa kalaban? And how can we even ambush them if they can't get to us? Ano ba talaga ang iniisip ni Keila?

"The link..." Iyana started. Right. That one is weird.

"I've concealed your emotions to yourselves. Hindi makakalabas ang mga emosyon niyo unless," she glanced at me. "You loose control of yourself." Ako ba ang ibig niyang sabihin? I clenched my fist in annoyance. Right. Short-tempered ako. I admit to myself na madali akong magalit. "Kung makokontrol niyo ang emosyon niyo, hindi din lalabas ang nakatagong alaala niyo or we can't share each other's pain. So I need both of you to calm down kahit ano man ang mangyari."

But concealing both of our emotions? Ibig bang sabihin kaya niyang pigilan ang mahika ng kwintas nato? Hindi lamang na makakaramdam siya ng emosyon ng iba, she can control persons' emotions as well?

"But you can sense emotions right?" Iyana asked and she nodded.

"Ganoon parin ang ability ko. Mararamdaman ko parin ang mga emosyon niyo. Pero bago ko pa man sabihin ang plano sa inyo," kumunot ang noo niya. "Gusto kong mangako kayo sa akin that you won't ever, ever loose control of yourself." Seryoso ang pagkasabi niya nun which is weird. We both nodded.

She laid the map on the floor, at doon ay nakikita naming gumagalaw ang bawat kulay. On the 60th floor hindi pa gumagalaw ang red team. Alam siguro nilang walang daan papunta dito sa itaas. Plus, all the floors from 60th to 100th are all occupied. Mahirap dumaan dito. Bakit ba kasi sa tower talaga ang game? We can just do it in a flat surface.

"Ano ba ang ibig mong sabihin when you said 'we'll start a clash'?" Tanong ko.

"We're going to dig a hole. We're going for an easy win." I frowned. Nanaman. Easy-win again. "Andrea, gagamitin mo ang ability mo para mawasak ang buong floor hanggang mahulog ang lahat ng participants sa 60th floor mismo. The red team thinks we're having a plan, at hinihintay tayo ngayon."

"You're saying that, ang lahat ng participants ay titipon sa floor kung saan mismo ang target natin, then all of them are going to have a clash." Iyana confirmed. She nodded.
