Alive After Death

"Keila!" Narinig kong sigaw ng isang babae sa tabi ko.

I quickly jolted up, my heart racing, and I was panting so hard. My head feels like it's about to crack any moment from now. Anong nangyayari? Hindi ko na maintindihan. I looked up and saw myself being surrounded by bunch of people. Again, I can feel their emotions rushing through inside me. They are hesitant, uncertain.

Wait, what? Anong ginagawa ko dito? Nasa isang kwarto kami, looking around the interior, mukhang luma na ito at naapektohan ng mga pagsabog. Teka, pagsabog? What about Hoy, that guy who pushed me to die? Damn it. It's all a mess.

Looking at these people, hindi pamilyar ang iba sa akin. Maliban lang kay Jia na nasa tabi ko at si George then there's Freya. Grabe parin ang paglabas ng hininga ko, I can feel my own temperature rising, and I'm getting sweaty. Puno din ng bandages ang katawan ko, and now that I'm actually conscious, my body hurts all over.

Anong ginagawa ko dito? Hindi ba at nandun ako sa isla kanina lang? Ibig bang sabihin ay panaginip lang ang lahat ng iyon? What about all those information? Paano yung mga nalaman ko? Totoo ba yun o hindi? Damn it! Nakakainis, pakiramdam ko ay may naglalaro sa akin.

Matapos nangyari ang lahat ng iyon, I can't just admit to myself that all of those were mere illusions and that all of those were lies. Siguro nga kasinungalingan lang yun, siguro nga ay panaginip lamg iyon, but I refuse to accept it! My mind is playing a trick on me. I was wity my family just earlier, don't tell me that wasn't real.

"Keila, mabuti naman at nagising ka narin sa wakas." Jia said beside me.

"Sabihin mo kung ano ang nangyari." Nagulat yata siya sa tanong ko, everyone is.

"Actually, that's what we want to know." Si Freya ang nagsalita, as she stood at the corner with both her arms crossing in front of her. "My team found you being carried by a black tapos ay nilapag ka nalang niya sa lupa. When we rushed to you, you were already dead." Ngayon naman ay ako ang nagulat sa sinabi niya.

"Dead?" At ano na naman ang nangyayari? What did she even mean by that?

"You're full of bruises, you ran out of life force, then your heart isn't beating. Dead, as in patay ka na. But for some reason, bigla nalang tumibok ang puso mo kanina nang nilapitan ka namin. Then moments later, bigla na naman ito tumigil." She continued.

What kind of a stupid story is that? Ibig bang sabihin pabalik-balik ang pagtibok ng puso ko tapos titigil na naman ito? Ran out of life force? Bakit naman ako mauubusan ng spiritual energy to the point that even my life force was drained?

No, if I think about it, kanina lang ay nasa Sigillum ako kasama ang mga spirits ko. That black—Alvin, used the last ounce of the energy I gave para malabas ang mga tao. He must have returned eventually para tulungan dapat ako but he didn't get there in time, or is it possible that he attacked me? But if he did, nandun din naman ang mga spirits ko, there's no way the two of them are beaten. Then there's another logical explanation.

Posibleng seryoso ngang inubos ng mga spirits ko ang monsters sa Sigillum para makuha ang relic. But if that's the case, then where's the relic? And if that's true, then that would explain kung bakit naubos nga ang life force ko, it was because two of my spirits are using every energy of my body while I was unconscious. At dahil wala nga akong malay, I can't generate enough spiritual energy from my life force to keep myself from running out of energy, kaya tumigil ang tibok ng puso ko.

But then bumalik na naman ang tibok nito nang lumapit ang team ni Freya. That means their emotions served as an energy which I generated into my own, and I wasn't even doing it on purpose, talagang automatic na itong nangyayari, it was as if my body is demanding too much energy, desperate for it, para lang mabuhay. Then it stopped again like Freya said, siguro ay hindi parin kinaya ng katawan ko dahil sa matinding pagod at mga natamo kong sugat. That's why when I was healed, I was slowly regaining my consciousness.
