You can cry with me

Ralph's dead. Devoe took him from the team. They're all upset and trying to cope. Barry can't understand what happened. It hasn't it him yet.

Iris and Barry were in their loft in their bed lying awake. It was 12:47.

"How are you doing barry?" Iris asked turning to him. "I'm fine iris. Really." Barry smiled half heartedly. "Barry, I know you're not okay. You always say you're fine when you know somethings your fault. This was not your fault." Iris said.

"It was. I was an idiot and didn't use the wand thingy early enough. I was defenseless and Ralph suffered. I just can't live with myself iris!" Barry started to tear up. He immediately brushed his forming tears away from his eyes and breathed in and out to cam himself.

"Honey, it's okay to cry. You can cry in front of me. We all need to cry sometimes. I've done it in front of you before. Men can cry when they lost someone. I know it may sound "weak" but you don't have to be "stronger" for me sweetie." Iris explained rubbing his forearm to soothe him.

"I know. I know." Barry said as he started to cry. He was breaking down in only tears. He turned to look at iris and sniffed. "I'm sorry." He sighed out. "Why sweetheart?" Iris asked wiping away his excess tears while caressing his face.

"I'm just so much. To handle I mean. I'm always making mistakes and faltering. And everyone is left to pick up the pieces of a world I keep breaking. I'm the flash! And yet everyone has died because I'm too slow." Barry sighed.

"Barry it's okay. You just let it out. Tomorrow is Saturday. You can stay up all night." Iris smiled softly and ran her hand through his hair. "Hmm no I think I'm good. I just...needed to talk through with someone. Thank you iris." Barry smiled softly and kissed her.

"Anytime babe." She patted his back and they turned to drift to sleep. "Goodnight Iris." Barry sighed out. "Goodnight barry." She smiled.

And then immediately the two said "I love you."
