Natasha's pov:
Today is the day Y/N is getting her jabs. I know she's going to hate it, I mean what 2 year old likes getting them. I've asked Bruce to do it for her, in hopes that it will calm her down as it's someone she knows.

I walked out of bed, and towards where my daughter was sleeping. She looked so peaceful and I felt bad waking her up.

Carefully, I caressed her face with my finger and shook her ever so slightly. "Y/N baby, it's time to get up."

Slowly, she sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes with her small hands. She looked up at me and raised her arms. I picked her up and cradled her in my arms, knowing that later she wouldn't be happy with me.

-

I had fed her and gotten her changed. It was now time to go and see Bruce. Obviously Y/N has no idea what is going on, but I'm a nervous wreck.

"Hey guys." Bruce said as we walked in.

I gave Bruce a smile, while Y/N replied, "Hey Uncle Bruce."

I sat down on the medical bed, and got Y/N comfy next to me.

"Okay Y/N are you ready for your checkup?" He asked her.

Immediately her head whipped around to face me, tears already gathering in her eyes. "Mummy?" She questioned.

"Sorry bubs." I felt so bad, I know how much she hates it.

Tears began streaming down her face as she crawled into my lap, burying her head in my chest. To try and comfort her I began gently rocking her back and forth.

Behind Y/N, Bruce was preparing her jabs. He knew it was better to do it without her seeing.

Slowly he walked up to us and carefully put the needle into my daughters arm.

"Ow. Ow Uncle Bruce. Mummy that hurt." She began screaming, more tears making there way down her red and puffy face. My heart shattered seeing her like this, but she needed them.

"You're doing such a good job детка (baby), only one more." I cooed into her ear.

Hearing this she began moving around in my arms. I knew there was only one way to get this done.

I picked her up and laid her on her back on the bed. I then held her arms and legs down which was hard because she was flailing them. Bruce then walked up to us with another injection. Y/N was screaming and shouting. God I felt so bad.

Once it was done, I immediately bought her into my arms. "Shh. Shh bubba. It's all done now. You were so so brave. You're okay."

She began to calm down, only small hiccups and whimpers could be heard.

I said thankyou to Bruce, and bought Y/N back to my bedroom.

Pulling back the covers, I got into bed, placing Y/N on my chest. She put her head in the crook of my neck and I wrapped my arms around her small body, stroking her back for comfort. Small sniffles could still be heard. I placed a kiss on the top of her head and began singing a lullaby.

Slowly, she took her head out of my neck and started singing along, smiling at me as we went on.

As the song came to the end, I looked down to see Y/N struggling to stay awake. All the crying must have tired her out. "Y/N my love. It's okay. Go to sleep, I'll be here when you wake up." I reassured her.

She gave me a tired kiss on my cheek and dropped her head back to my chest, letting sleep overcome her.
