August

"That was a long flight." Terrence commented.

"Why we flew commercial again?" Travis asked.

"Because all the private planes from Europe were booked up."

Walking off the ramp, making our way into the airport,  I didn't know what to expect. Being our first time in Trinidad and Carnival weekend, I hoped it went well. Taking my phone off airplane mode, all my notifications came through. Putting it on silent, I left it till it was over.

"Social media?" Travis asked.

"That and Chrys."

"I know this is a secret but did you at least tell her you'd be unavailable for a while?" He asked.

"Nah I didnt."

"Goon you for real?" Terrence asked.

"Yeah."

"Sis probably stressed, like we're about to be."

Confused by what Travis said, I looked up to see all the people ahead of us.

"Damn. I wasn't expecting this."

"First time?" We heard behind us.

"Yeah." We all answered.

"Well for future reference, don't ever come in on Carnival Friday." The girl laughed. "Most tourist come in today just for the weekend so this is how it always will be."

"Oh, aight. Thanks ma." I nodded.

"You're welcome Aug." She smirked. "Hope to see you on the road."

"Well I'm here on the low so."

"You're safe. Can I get your autograph at least."

"Sure."

Smiling, I signed the back of her boarding pass and took a selfie with her. Putting my attention back on the immigration line, though it was long, it was moving. When it came our turn, all three of us approached the counter with our passports and the immigration slip. Gaining our stamps, we then followed the instructions and made our way to baggage claim then out the front where there were a lot of taxis.

"What we doing bro? Renting a car or taxi?"

"Renting a car, that way we can move around."

"Chrys don't got a car?"

"Nah she don't. Ion even think she got her license." I joked.
