When the next month arrives, You rise from sleep much earlier than You would have expected. Seraphine speaks to You as You make your preparations for the day.
Seraphine: I wonder what's going to happen next... Now that Erika is with us, I suppose that everyone is going to be more ready to go after Evenor than ever before.
You nod and say that You want to find her as soon as possible.
Seraphine: I hope Herwig is alright after all of this... He probably has a lot on his mind seeing his sister again after so many years... And under circumstances like that...
You say that this was probably the boost in morale he needed even if it came in an unexpected way.
Seraphine: I'm inclined to agree. He seemed so upset before when we were talking about how things have been going in the Empire... He's right in that we shouldn't have to worry about the Malice forces striking so aggressively from that direction. We should have been able to ask for a bit more help, but instead...
You shake your head and say that You need to stay focused.
Seraphine: Yes... You're right. No matter how much we may wish to change it, we can't fix what happened five years ago. We can make a difference right now though, and I think the best way to go about that is to get ready to strike back at the enemy forces.
You nod before making your way up to the cardinals' room once Seraphine falls silent. The rest of your allies are there waiting, though it seems as if You have only barely arrived after Herwig and Jill.
Reese: How is she doing? Does she seem to be feeling any better than she did when we last saw her?
Jill: She seems a bit less stressed at the very least. I imagine that being out of that environment is already doing wonders for her.
Niko: I'm glad that she didn't suffer too much because of the experimentation... If we hadn't rescued her when we did...
Herwig: I'm choosing to not think about it. She's with us again now, and that's what matters most to me.
Roy: It's nice to know that she's improving... Though we have other issues to attend to, and I can tell that you're all eager to move on.
Herwig: I most certainly am. Do we have a plan for our next battle?
Cordelia: For now, the plan is to push into Kingdom territory. We've already received a message back from the queen, and she's willing to help us if we can get rid of the Malice forces within Faerghus.
Nesreen: As far as I've heard, Faerghus has been having a really rough time over the last five years.
Adrian: It's primarily because of a series of assassination attempts against the queen... It makes sense that she would have been left to struggle a lot because of that.
Aisa: She has been trying to take a stand against the discrimination leveled towards the people of Albinea, but there are many who do not approve of her stances... Even when fighting against others such as Malice, there are those from her own side of the war who wish to see her harm.
Roy: And it seems to me right now that the most frustrating house and the greatest thorn in her side is House Schweighen.
Reese: ...Ah. Well, I suppose that makes sense. I shouldn't have expected them to have any sense of decency.
Adrian: That's the house where you come from, isn't it? I mean... It shares your surname, so it must be.
Reese: It is... Though I wish I had less of a connection to it than I do, especially these days.
