{Part Two: Ascendent Star} Chapter Thirty-Two: Eternally Unforgiven I

At the beginning of the following moon, You awaken slowly, your body creaking and exhausted. You push yourself out of your bed as your memories of the night before return to You. It is not until Seraphine speaks that You fully remember though.

Seraphine: Janae is awake... After all this time, she has come back to us.

You nod and smile, saying that You are beyond relieved she is alright.

Seraphine: I'm glad she's okay too... But we can't let ourselves stop here just because she's back on her feet. There's still a lot we have left to do.

You nod and start to make your way up to the cardinals' room. You are uncertain as to who knows about Janae waking up, and You look forward to sharing the good news with everyone. When You arrive, You find Chris, Magnolia, Raithius, Cordelia, and Eli there. Aisa is notably absent, and You frown at the sight.

Magnolia: Good morning, Professor. It's nice to see you awake.

You ask after Aisa with a small frown.

Raithius: She's helping Janae right now. Ever since she woke up, she's been on the weaker side, so Lady Aisa and Professor Tysera are both looking after her... Well, her and Quail.

Magnolia: I still can't believe we found Professor Tysera's younger brother while we were on our last mission...

Chris: It shows that there's still a lot about this world and the war we don't know. Evenor has taken a lot of hostages over the years, and it was always just a matter of time before we saw that brutality firsthand.

Cordelia: All the more reason for us to keep chasing her.

Eli: But we don't know where to look... Tagusol didn't tell us where she was last seen, not that I'm particularly surprised.

Chris: He wasn't going to sell someone out after they spent years working with him... He wants to protect her however he can, and we have no choice but to find a way to uncover Evenor's true location on his terms.

Eli: Then we can just turn our attention in a different direction... Such as by attacking the Empire.

Cordelia: It has been ages since we last attacked the Empire... I'm looking forward to seeing where this takes us.

Chris: If you ask me, there's only one place we can start when it comes to going after the capital... And it begins with finding a foothold.

Raithius: I think I know where this is going... You want to chase after Bazler.

Chris: If you ask me, that man has gotten away with too much for too long. We've had other things to focus on for a while, yes, but that's not the case anymore. Let's just get in there and take care of him so he never has the chance to hurt anyone again.

Magnolia: I agree. That sounds like a perfect way for us to continue our charge into the Empire... Though I can imagine we're not going to have an easy time with this.

Chris: Not in the slightest. Argades has been waiting for us to come into the Empire again, and as soon as we set foot there, he's going to rush us.

Cordelia: Then we'll prepare our forces however we can. If we can cut off this little head of Argades' control, it will hopefully make taming the beast in Enbarr a bit easier.

Raithius: And once we've got full control over the Imperial capital, we can finally make our way toward Evenor... Hopefully for the last time.

Eli: With her, I don't know if we can be certain of anything... I want to think we'll find her soon, but it's been so long...
