You let out a small sigh as You finish your rounds through the monastery for the day. You have been working hard all day to ensure the war is handled with the care it requires, and You are looking forward to taking a break.
Seraphine: Hold on a moment... Do you hear that?
You hear someone approaching You from behind, and You turn to see who it could be. You do not see anyone immediately, but You eventually catch a glimpse of Rowan approaching someone else. They were not trying to come and talk to you at all. Instead, they were hoping to find somebody else.
Seraphine: I wonder what that could be... They look a bit worried. Don't you think so?
You hesitate for a moment before nodding. You do not know if You want to follow them or stay where You are. Would it be considered crossing a line to see what is bothering them so much?
Seraphine: We're never going to know unless we go to ask. We might as well see where it takes us.
You nod slowly, and You follow Rowan toward their destination. You eventually find the person they were searching for, and You realize it is Cyballine.
Rowan: Ah, Cyballine... There you are.
Cyballine: Is something the matter? You look awfully pale.
Rowan: I just got a report from a scout who said they went out on your behalf. I-I didn't know what to do with it, so...
Cyballine: What did they say?
Rowan: Um... There's a group moving around in the Empire, and they said that you were planning on going to take care of it as soon as the message came back.
Cyballine: ...I see.
Rowan: Is that true? Are you planning on going to investigate it whatever it is?
Cyballine: I am... But I had been hoping that no one else would know what I was doing.
Rowan: You were trying to keep it a secret.
Cyballine: That was the plan... But I see now that it won't be quite so simple.
Rowan: If nothing else, I appreciate you being so willing to be honest with me about it. I know this is something heavy, and you could have lied to me.
Cyballine: We both know that wouldn't have ended well. I did what I thought would be best. That's all.
Rowan: I-I guess so...
Cyballine: Either way, I should head out for now. I need to go and take care of this battle before it can grow to be an even greater problem for anyone else.
Rowan: You're not going to head out on your own, are you?
Cyballine: That was the plan from the start. If you're concerned, then I appreciate it, but–
Rowan: I can't just let you go off alone after hearing that you're going to go fight someone. It wouldn't be right.
Cyballine: I appreciate your concern, but–
Rowan: We're fighting a dangerous war right now. It wouldn't be right of me to leave you to do this on your own. Even if you told me that you wanted to do it alone, I don't think I would be able to leave you alone.
Cyballine: ...You're an awfully intense one when you want to be.
Rowan: Perhaps so... But I'm worried about you, and if I have the chance to help you, then I need to follow it to the end.
