It's been a month and a half since everything. My eye has healed and it looks so much better. Titus finally gave me my keys and stuff back. He swore he didn't have them but he gave it back. Soon as he gave me my things, I went to the doctor to get a check up and get tested. I was clean and I was happy about that.
I was going out. I was taking myself out to dinner. I needed a break. Titus was gone and I had just got out the tub and did all my things I needed. While getting ready my phone started ringing. I looked at it and it was Jade. I answered it.
"Hello..." I said before putting on speaker
"Wassup beautiful..." she said
"Hey Jade..." I said smiling
"What you doing??" She asked
"Bout to take myself out to dinner..." I said
"Mmm..." she said making me laugh a lil
"What??" I asked
"Instead of going to dinner by yourself let me take you..." she said
"Jade..." I said
"Milan we haven't had time to hang out or get to know each other. Let's do that and let tonight be the night..." she said
I thought about it for a while.
"Okay..." I said
"For real??" She asked
"Yes..." I said "Meet me a Divine at 8:30..."
"I'll definitely be there..." she said
We said our goodbyes and we hung up. After moisturizing myself, I put my robe on, then out on a small amount of makeup. After that, I went to the closet to find some to wear. I decided on a cream silk dress with some clear sandals. I really wasn't feeling heels or anything tonight. I slid on some thongs then slipped on my dress. I fixed it to my liking and I fixed my edges. Day before yesterday, I put clip ins in my hair, and I love them.
I looked at myself and smile. I finally looked like myself and I finally felt like myself slightly. I stared at myself for a while cuz I just felt good.
I heard my phone ding. I grabbed it and Jade told me she was on the way to the restaurant. I grabbed my purse and everything I needed. I locked the door, rode the elevator down, and headed out. I finally pulled up to the restaurant and I seen Jade standing by her car. I drove to her and parked beside her. Soon as I cut the car off and she opened the door for me. I looked at her and she held her hand out for me with a smile. I took her hand before stepped out.
"Look at you..." I said looking at her smiling
"What about me??" She asked closing my door
"You look really nice..." I said honestly
"Thanks..." she said smiling "And you look good..."
"Thank you..." I said looking at her
She squeezed my hand.
"You ready to go in??" She asked
"Yes..." I said
We walked up to the building, she opened the door for me, and we went in. She told them how many, they took us to a booth, and we sat down.
"I was going to order a drink but I don't wanna drink and you can't..." I said looking at her
"That's fine cuz I got all I need at home..." she said smiling
"Who buy alcohol for you??" I asked her
"You in my business..." she said making me laugh
She smiled.
"But I have a fake ID..." she said lowly
"That's how you get into club and stuff??" I asked and she nodded
"Y'all youngins are some else..." I said looking at her
"I meannnnn..." she said and we laughed
The waiter came and asked what we wanted to drink. We both order some wine, Cabernet Sauvignon. She don't know nothing about it but want to sip on it. He brung the bottle out and our glass that's already got the wine in it.
"So, Milan..." she said sipping on the wine
"It's good??" I asked and she nodded "But yes..."
"Why haven't you call or text me for the past few weeks??" She asked
"Honestly I've been going through a lot. I'm just Tryna get my head wrapped around just begin back to myself..." I said
"Begin back yourself??" I said in a questionable manner
"Lately I haven't been feeling myself. I still don't truly feel like myself but I'm getting there. I felt as if I was out into a box where I couldn't breathe..." I said
She grabbed my hand that was on the table. I looked at her.
"I'm glad you starting to feel like yourself again..." she said smiling which made me smile
"Thank you..." I said softly "What you been up to??"
"Nothing really. I've been think about joining the army..." she said
"For real??" I asked
"Yes, I been thinking for years about joining. But my parents don't want me to for their own selfish reasons..." she said
Her hand still had mine. So I squeezed it making her look at me.
"If joining the army is what you wanna do, do it. This is your life so you live it. I'm supporting you with anything you choose..." I said making her smile
"You're so perfect..." she said making me laugh a lil
"Thank you, but I'm not perfect..." I said
We talked more before our food came out. The food look so good. I really really enjoyed conversation with her. She very interesting. She's a nice girl but I have too much going on with me and I wouldn't want to pull her in the middle of things.
After eating, we got a dessert to share. We ate that, she paid, and we sat around for a few before leaving.
We walked out the door and was headed to our cars.
"What you doing after this??" She asked
"Nothing, going home..." I said and she nodded "Why??"
"I wanted to invite you to my place. We can have a few more drinks and talk more..." she said
"That's fine with me..." I said and a big smile came across her face
"You can follow me..." she said and I nodded
We got in our cars and I followed her to her house.
