Zion stood there as the doctors worked on me.

Despite me telling her to leave, this time she didn't. She stood there until my mom came.

The doctors left, My mom and Melody both came in.

"Hey sweetie..." Mom said smiling walking up to me

"Hey mom..." I said smiling

"How you feeling?? Melody asked

"I feel good beside the sharp pains throughout my body. I'm happy to be alive..." I said truthfully

"Yeah, me too..." Mom said looking at me smiling

I looked at Melody.

"How you been feeling??" I asked her

"I have been very good, just worried about you. But I see now that you'll be back in no
time..." she said smiling

"I'm fine..." I said smiling

"The police been wanting to talk to you. But I told them it was up to you. If you feel comfortable we can do that, but if you aren't we don't have to..." my mom said

"I'll see. Right now I'm not in the mood to revisit what happened..." I said

"I understand..." mom said while she squeezed my hand

I honestly rather not talk to the police cuz what's the use. He'll go for a few days, shit maybe even a day. Then, he'll be right back out. I know this cuz he used to get caught with weed, guns, and don't pay tickets. Everything get kicked out so what makes this one different.

"God I'm so happy you're awake sweetie..." mom said staring at me

I smiled at her.

"Do you want us to call your friends to come see you??" She asked

"Yes, I'm sure they've been waiting on that call..." I said

"Hell yeah they have..." Melody said

Mom went to her purse, grabbed her phone, and walked out.

"You're so strong..." Melody said making me look at her

"You taught me well..." I said making her smile

"Yeah I did..." she said before kissing my forehead

She was looking at.

"Just take your times getting back to yourself honey. You're a very strong and beautiful woman. You got this..." she said rubbing my hand with her thumb

"Thank you..." I said

"You're welcome..." she said

"You ready to know what you having??" I asked

"Yes. I'm so excited..." she said excitedly

"I hear Zion say you've been talking about since you've gotten the invitation..." I said and she laughed a lil

"Oh course I have. I been waiting on the gender since I found out I was actually pregnant..." she said

"Well y'all will find out soon..." I said smiling

"Have you talked to Zion??" She asked

"Yeah, I think it's best for us to stay away from each other..." I said

She look at me for a few minutes.

"You sure you want that??" She asked

"I don't know, but I don't want to be around her right now..." I said honestly
