I woke up to moving from under me. I opened my eyes and yawned to see Milan yawning too. She looked at me and smiled.

"Morning..." I said

"Good Morning..." she said while smiling

"How you feeling??" I asked her

"I feel amazing..." she said

And I can't lie and say I didn't see a glow to her.

"I like to think I have something to do with that..." I said smirking

"Maybe. Maybe not..." she said

"Whatever..." I said and we laughed

"You work today??" She asked

"I gotta go in see what's going on, but after that I'm free. Why??" I asked looking at her

"I was just curious..." she said

"You wanna do something today??" I asked her

"Like what??" She asked

"I don't know. Something..." I said

"We cannnnn..." she said thinking
"Ooouu let's go bowling..."

"Okay, we can do that..." I said smiling

She smiled back at me.

"You want breakfast??" She asked

"Yeah, I could use some..." I said making her laugh

"Okay, I gotta shower first. Cuz you interrupt my shower last night..." she said looking at me

"Not the one that told me yes, please. Or get in and hold me..." I said making her laugh

"Why you bringing up old shit?!" She asked

"Whatever...." I said smiling

I got up and pulled the cover up with me. She crawled out the bed and went to the bathroom. I grabbed my phone off the floor and seen I had 3 missed calls from Terry. I clicked on it and put him on speaker. I was finding me some to put on

"Hello..." he answered

"Wassup Man..." I said

"I was calling to tell you that you didn't have to come to the station. I emailed you everything that we got on him and her. They gone be put away for a long time..." he said

"That's good..." I said honestly

"And found out last night the City's been waiting for us to get him. Soon as we made the arrest, they sent all the shit they had on him to us. He's done enough shit to have him in for life, without parole..." he said

"I knew something fishy was going on cuz he kept getting off..." I said

"Yeah, chief sent that shit right on in..." he said

"Hmm..." I said nodding my head

"So court will determine what they would do to them..." he said

"Yes. Milan would have to be at that court date for them both..." he said

"I'll definitely talk to her about that..." I said

"Well if I need to tell you smithing else I'll call or text you..." he said

"Alright Boss..." I said making him laugh

We hung up and I sat my phone on the bed. I heard somebody clear their throat. I looked up and Milan was looking through the crack in the bathroom door.

"What??" I asked smiling

"Are you coming??" She asked with her eyebrow raised

I threw the cover back on the bed and headed to the bathroom. She stepped in and I stepped in behind her. She stood in front of the water and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Who was on the phone??" She asked

"Terry..." I said

"What he say??" She asked

"That they are going to be put away for a long time. The city has sent over his whole file so we have more shit on him. Treasure got conspiracy so just imagining. So they won't be bothering you anymore..." I said before kissing her back

She turned around and looked at me for a second. She pulled me into a hug and I hugged her back.

"Thank you Zion..." she said hugging me tighter

"You're Welcome..." I said kissing her shoulder smiling

She lifted up and kissed me. She pulled away with smile.

"Ummm, when they go to court. Terry wants you there to testify against them. On your behalf, of course..." I said looking at her

"When is the court date??" She asked

"It hasn't been determined yet..." I said

"When you find out the date just tell me. Then I'll let you know..." she said

"Okay..." I said nodded

We bathe, the got out, and did our hygiene stuff. After, we put clothes on and I went to the kitchen.

"What you finna do??" She asked coming into the kitchen

"I was bout to start on the breakfast..." I said

"Let me take you out for breakfast..." she said making me lift my eyebrow
"I'm serious..."

She came up to me and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"Lemme take you out..." she said softly

"Okay..." I said making her smile
"Where you taking me??"

"For me to know and for you to find out..." she said making me smack my lips
"Put some shoes on cry baby..."

"I'm not a cry baby..." I said laughing

"Sure..." she said as we went into the room

We grabbed our shoes, put them on, grabbed our stuff, and headed to the door.

"We're going in my car and I'm driving..." she said

"Yes ma'am..." I said locking the house door

She laughed and we headed to the car. She got in the drive side and I got in the passenger side. I propped my feet up on the dashboard.

"Zion, what are you doing??" She asked laughing

"Being a passenger princess aduhh..." I said making her laugh harder

She started the car and pulled out the driveway. She cut some music on while driving. She was singing and I was just staring.

It's sooo good to see her in this light again. I don't know how I let shit like that come in between this, in between us. I love this woman and it's nothing I wouldn't do for this woman. I would never let nobody else pull me from her. Nobody. Never.
