I was smelling the new cologne she got me. It was going to be addicting. My eyes ran across my gifts when my eyes landed on a ring box. I put the cologne down and grabbed the box. I turned to her.

"What's this??" I asked looking at her

"Help me up..." she said

I picked her up and put her on the island. She grabbed the box outta my hand.

"Well let's see..." she smiling

She opened it and then turned it to me.

"This is a promise ring..." she said taking it out and sliding it on my finger

"For what??" I asked looking down at the ring on my hand

"I know that deep down from the way you've been treated and stuff, that you don't believe you're worthy of anything. But I want to let you know you're worthy of everything. Everyone that has you in their life is lucky and we know it. You're special baby. This is my promise to you. That I will always be there when you need me. That you will always be worthy to me. That I'll never get tired or bored of you. That I will always love you no matter what. That I will always remind you how special you are and how lucky I and our kids are to have you a part of our lives..." she said looking into my eyes
"I love you, baby. I love you with every bone in my body..."

"I love you too baby..." I said hugging her

I'm so grateful to have this amazing lovely woman in my life. Every chance she gets she always reassures me. I've never dealt with anyone who does that and it feels damn good to have it.

"How did I come to get so lucky..." I said looking at her

"Terry..." she said making me laugh
"Gimme kiss..."

I leaned closer and kissed her. She grabbed my face and pulled me closer. I grabbed her legs pulled them to my waist and pulled her closer. Our tongues started getting involved and she pulled away.

"I cooked..." she said

"Really??" I asked making her chuckle

"We can do that later..." she said

"I don't wanna have sex right now. I wanna kiss and love on you..." I said making her smile
"What you cooked??"

"The seafood potatoes you wanted..." she said

"Let's gooooo baby..." I said making her smile

"They are in the stove..." she said

I helped her down and we went to the stove. I grabbed the mittens and took the pan out of the oven. I sat it on the stove.

"These look bomb..." I said before cutting the stove off

"They are, I tasted the sauce..." she said making me chuckle

"Leave it up to my baby..." I said making her laugh

She was washing her hands. I went behind her and started rubbing her stomach.

"Thank you so much, baby. I'm so grateful for you and all you do for me..." I said kissing her shoulder

She dried her hand, turned around, and hugged me.

"Of course baby. I'll do anything to make you happy..." she said before pecking my lips
"Now, let's eat..." she said

I fixed our food and took it to the table. She sat down as I fixed myself some wine and her some sweet tea. I grabbed my fork to take a bite. She watched me the whole time while I took the first bite.
