Leaning in the office chair behind his desk, Kartik rested one hand on the armrest, and reached his other arm out. He scanned the medical note and diagnostic report and coldy stated,
“She’s truly ill?”

“Of course she is. Why would we even lie about this?” Rohit spread his palms and appeared aggrieved, “Our
Shehnaaz is the top of her class! Why wouldn’t she come unless she is truly bedridden?”

Kartik lifted his gaze at him, the corners of his narrow eyes raising slightly, “…Really?”

Rohit knew Kartik was not only the a Faculty of Law professor and doctoral advisor at the best university in the Empire, B University. He was also a top student at the Yale School of Law, tenured professor at the Harvard School of Law and partner to the top major law firm in the United States.
Such a person would not easily trust just any statement.

Hence he wasn’t going to reason with Kartik, but rather use another way to flatter him, “Professor Sen, our Shehnaaz has been admiring you since she was young and wanted to apply as your post-grad student for a long time. When she found out you were
conducting the interview yourself, she
was so excited she couldn’t sleep for several nights! You can’t smother the hopes of such a model student!”

The corners of Kartik’s eyes twitched twice, he closed Shehnaaz’s file to set it aside and said dryly, “That’s an overstatement. However, I’ll give Shehnaaz one chance since she is the top of the class. Have her come interview, three days from now at this time. —I will not entertain
anything after.”

Rohit was overjoyed and quickly stood up, “Not a problem, not a problem! We will absolutely be there in three
days!”

At that moment in the C City Special Operations Forces Base, Soniya had already left. Sandeep was waiting in
Sidharth’s bedroom alone and preparing his medical equipment.

Shehnaaz remained deep asleep without stirring on the large bed beside him. Looking at the newly printed out results of her blood work,
Sandeep was carefully poring over it.
Shehnaaz’s blood was clean and all the negative effects created by the H3aB7 in her system had all been
eradicated.

Sandeep looked at the data as he compared it with the H3aB7 related information he had previously collected, and shook his head in awe.
Major General Shukla was truly Major General Shukla, this was incredible…

Sandeep hummed a tune and took the medical box from the bedroom. He said to Sidharth, who was sitting in the living room and having breakfast, “Boss, you really had it tough last night. Here, let me do a complete physical examination.” He rolled up his sleeves, stethoscope around his neck and blood pressure monitor in his hand as he walked over.

On the table before Sidharth was a plate of 6 giant chicken buns, a plate of medium-rare steak, a bowl of cereal
rice porridge, a plate of pan-fried bacon and shrimp, and a bowl of mashed potatoes with cheese. These were all high calorie and high protein food.

He set down his cutlery and extended his arm for Sandeep to examine.

After a minute, Sandeep found that Sidharth was completely normal. He didn’t stumble, have shortness of breath or cold sweats. His blood pressure and heart rate were normal, and he did not appear pale. This was unlike someone who had exerted themselves the previous night…..

“…Boss, where are the things I gave you yesterday? Did you use it all?” Sandeep packed away his blood pressure monitor and stethoscope, pretending to ask casually.

Sidharth pointed in the direction of the bedroom, “It’s in the nightstand over there.”

Sandeep hurried to the bedroom and found the box in the nightstand.
There were twenty unopened condoms inside, which meant Sidharth didn’t use a single one.

Sandeep’s face shifted with countless expressions in one moment. There was no expression to show his shocked
feeling of “Oh my f*cking god.” This was incredible! They were all in there!
He is not human!

Sandeep stood dazed in the bedroom for a while before clutched his iPad and floated outside. He looked at
Sidharth strangely and asked in a low voice, “…..Boss, you seriously…?”

Sidharth nodded his head, impassive, “I never fake things.”

Sandeep nodded rapidly, beads of sweat on the tip of his nose, “I believe it! I believe it!”

After a while, he tapped away at his iPad to enter in strings of data. He pretended as if nothing had occurred and asked, “…So how many times did you finish? You didn’t use a single
condom……”

Sidharth, “…”

Not wanting to acknowledge such ludicrous questions, Sidharth lowered his gaze and did not answer. He speared a large piece of medium-rare steak into his mouth and chewed carefully.

Sandeep didn’t get a reply after the long pause and became slightly agitated. He leaned down beside him and muttered, “…Boss, tell me about your experience? You should share
good things with your close friends, right?”

“What experience?” Sidharth lost his appetite when he heard this question and set down his cutlery. He picked
up a napkin to wipe his mouth and stood up to grab he iPad from Sandeep’s hands.

“What did you record exactly?” Sidharth’s brows furrowed again. If he was seeing correctly, Sandeep had recorded all the food in his meals.

Sandeep was blushing slightly, but spoke seriously, “I’m just performing a scientific experiment to see if your diet had natural….. effects.”

Sidharth glanced at him and threw the iPad back. He neither exposde nor ridiculed him, then pointed at the
breakfast on the table, “Eat all this and train every morning with the others at the Special Operations Forces. I think you have too much free time.”

Sandeep looked at the high calorie and high protein food in Sidharth’s breakfast with distaste. He pouted at
Sidharth’s back as he exited the room, but sat down and ate breakfast anyway.

As soon as he was finished eating,  Sidharth’s orderly, Harsh Vardhan come over to escort him, “Dr. Agarwal, the Chief is waiting to meet with you in the small conference room.” “What’s the matter?” Sandeep scrambled for his meeting memo and headed towards the small conference room.
The small conference room was in the basement of Sidharth’s quarters.

Sandeep walked in and saw Sidharth  sitting alone at the head of the oval shaped table.

“Boss?” Sandeep entered and closed the door of the small conference room.

“Sit.” Sidharth pointed at the seat across from him, his voice very deep, “I asked for you because I need to ask
about the incident of Sana getting afflicted by an aphrodisiac. I wasn’t able to last night, but I need you to tell
me everything today.”

Anyone daring to mess with his people certainly had a deathwish.
“We need to thoroughly investigate this incident.”

Sandeep’s expression became uncharacteristically stern, “To summarise, Sana attended her
classmate’s birthday party and was pricked by a needle there.”

“Are you sure it was a needle?”

“Needle or not, it was something needle shaped. Before Sana lost consciousness, she also told me she was afflicted from the back. I
examined her and found her right
shoulder indeed had a small hole, and the concentration of the aphrodisiac there was much higher than anywhere else in her body, so it must have been pricked there.”

“Haha, impressive.” Sidharth knocked on the table, “Does she know who did it?”

“She thinks it was her classmate, Arti Sinha.” Sandeep pushed up his glasses, which was about to slide down the
bridge of his nose. “But we don’t have single bit of evidence.”
