Crystal's POV

With everything going on at home, I wasn't allowed to have anyone over, but it didn't stop me from managing to sneak my friends past the guards.

My parking spot at home was next to a handful of boxes, so I could easily drive up to the house, let them out of my car so they could use the boxes to climb up to my room, then I'd let them in.

Papa wouldn't catch them coming in, but he could never figure out how I got people in, so he would just shrug it off.

Diamond and Skyler were the only ones who snuck in with me today, so we had some much needed time to just talk about all of our issues cause none of us had a normal life.

"So, anything of interest for any of you?" [Crystal]

"My dads are giving me a mom soon, she's a bit over protective though, I'm not really sure how I feel about it yet" [Diamond]

"At least your parents think of you, my dad is still going three days strong at work, I'm starting to think he's forgotten about me" [Skyler]

"How long has he been gone before? This feels weird" [Crystal]

"Before this, 36 hours, I'm just glad he left food this time and I have spending money so I can order takeout if needed" [Skyler]

"You know my dads treat you like you're my sister, you can always stop over at my place" [Diamond]

"Yeah, but if I have to move in with someone cause of my father, I'm finding an apartment and dragging Kris with me" [Skyler]

"I wouldn't say no to that, but I still have my own things to deal with before I move out" [Crystal]

"True, but my father shouldn't be leaving his child alone at home almost weekly for days" [Skyler]

"He's a cop, why would he even think to do that" [Diamond]

"Because the break in the killed my mother plus me coming out as non binary and a lesbian in such a close time threw him off, I wouldn't have come out had I known my mom died from it" [Skyler]

"I still can't get over the fact he knew the same day it happened that she was gone but didn't tell you until you decided to come out" [Crystal]

"Yeah, that was just uncool, its like he wanted to take it out on you" [Diamond]

"My father doesn't know what to do, I'm trying to give him benefit of the doubt, but its really hard when he refuses to speak with me" [Skyler]

"Grief is a weird thing, as long as he doesn't do anything to harm you, you'll be fine" [Crystal]

"I'd prefer if his way of grieving was the same way he delt with my grandmother passing, at least then he just ran background checks on everyone he knew that time" [Skyler]

"Yeah, but then we may not be allowed to hang out again, we got lucky that you can stay with Diamond, likely won't happen again when he finds out who my father is" [Crystal]

"Your father has a longer record of crimes than my dad, Skyler's dad might just try to arrest him" [Diamond]

"Good luck with that, I'd rather Inpu kill my father at this point" [Skyler]

"All the cops in town fear my father, they wouldn't try a thing even if it got the fired" [Crystal]

"That must be a fun title to have, you get to go wherever and do whatever you want to do" [Skyler]

"Its not all that fun, I get to put the fear of god in others, but I also have to deal with mafia drama like what we're dealing with now" [Crystal]

"So is it easy to mask that you're part of the mafia?" [Diamond]

"I was born invisible and only became known recently, most people knew us when we were babies cause dad would bring us in every now and then, but Artemis is completely invisible cause he was born in the period of time I wasn't with dad, so no one in the mafia has met him" [Crystal]

"Do you not want to be part of the mafia? You never sound too sure about the mafia when you talk about it other than our current mission" [Skyler]

"I'm willing to work in it, but I really don't want it as my main job, I'd much rather be a musician" [Crystal]

"This is slowly getting depressing, Diamond, any interesting people as of recent?" [Skyler]

"There's one girl at the coffee shop, incredibly homophobic, I've already sent a letter to the owner, so hopefully she'll be gone by the end of the week" [Diamond]

"Ooo~ tea, that's always fun, and the owner knows how much we spend at that shop so that's an easy thing to get dealt with" [Crystal]

"Are we really sure you're not high right now?" [Skyler]

"Pretty sure I haven't taken anything, well, nothing other than a few ibuprofen, but that can't do much to me" [Crystal]

"Do we know if its actually ibuprofen? It could just be random drugs hiding in an ibuprofen bottle" [Diamond]

"Papa doesn't let dad keep any illegal drugs in the house and the rule with medicine is it has to stay in its normal container since papa and Artemis have medicine allergies" [Crystal]

"I thought angels don't get issues, you're always in perfect health" [Skyler]

"They do, but the common issues in angels are medicine allergies, thankfully it isn't needed often, but we can't take any risks" [Crystal]

"How did Inpu take that the first time Bryan got sick?" [Skyler]

"Papa and I got sick at the same time, so dad tried to grab some medicine for my dad and me, but the stuff he grabbed papa was deathly allergic to, so once papa and I were better, from what I've been told, dad sat papa down and went through everything in the house to make sure he was safe" [Crystal]

"Your parents are so sweet to each other it makes me always question how Inpu is in the mafia" [Diamond]

"You're not the only one who questions it, the two of them are just so well connected but have such different ideas on normal everyday life" [Skyler]

"Well they did meet because papa was kidnapped" [Crystal]

"So stokehole syndrome?" [Diamond]

"No, papa was given a chance to leave or become dad's roommate while he recovered from something my grandma couldn't help, so they became roommates and fell in love" [Crystal]

We continued to talk about a lot of random things for the next few hours.

Eventually, papa called me down to eat, so they snuck our the window and got back into my car to hide out for a few hours before we could go out again to get some more work done for the mission.
