Chapter 88 | Numbers And Execution

Crystal's POV

Time seemed to be passing fast, but it also meant time was running out.

My friends and I managed to put up a few bugs within the compound Jakey and his goons were hiding in, and thanks to that, we were able to get an accurate number on how many people were working for him.

We established that there were about 550 people so it wasn't a task we could work on alone even if we wanted to.

Each of us were just going over any information we already had to make sure it was correct before we sent it over to dad. 

I was mostly just going through the map again while checking any equipment we had to make sure it worked well.

There wasn't much to talk about, but we could tell we were each focused.

Diamond was working on making a few bugs so we could put a few on some of the guards dad would take with him, and it was clear she knew what she was doing.

"And done! We have about ten of these" [Diamond]

"Great! And they look high quality too, I take that means they will have easy audio to follow?" [Crystal]

"Yeah, only issue is I don't know how to add the backup" [Diamond]

"Meaning?" [Skyler]

"If they find the bugs and decide to reverse the audio, they will hear us, so we have to make sure they are on people who are dumb enough to not find them" [Diamond]

"So not on Inpu" [Jax]

"If dad finds the bug, he'll try to reverse it no matter who finds it, so it'll be one of those things we can use, but we can't keep it on too long" [Atlas]

"On another note, we can get this stuff sent in tonight, but we need to hide most of this stuff before they even have the chance to come see for themselves" [Zach]

"Don't worry, I already thought of that" [Crystal]

"Go on, lets hear it" [Minx]

Before I could reply, I pulled out two knives that are nearly identical.

"These are knives commonly used by those who don't work on the field, my dad gave me one with my name on it when I first went to his office, the second one is the same one just with nothing on it, so we leave it here as a way to throw him off" [Crystal]

"So the plan is to leave the decoy so he thinks its an amateur, that might actually keep us out of trouble" [Etch]

"And I can easily search through things so I can get the bugs back so we can destroy them" [Crystal]

"Please don't break them all, my stepmom wants to see my work, so I plan on wiping one or two to show her" [Diamond]

"Speaking of stepmom, hoe are you doing with that, you've kinda been distancing from your family recently" [Skyler]

"I get along fine with her, but my dads are both focused on getting her moved in, so I don't really have a lot of time with them" [Diamond]

"So that's why you've been hanging out at our house the past week" [Atlas]

"Oh like you haven't done anything that would disappoint your parents" [Diamond]

"Now that I think about it, you've told us nothing on what your stepmom is like, while we work on setting up the building, want to tell us about her?" [Minx]

"Alright, I guess to start, she's nice to me, nothing bad really" [Diamond]

"But you don't want to call her mom because you aren't used to not being the only woman in the house" [Zach]

"I have two dads, if I were a woman you likely wouldn't be here with me" [Diamond]

"Alright, if Diamond starts acting weird, get her away from home" [Crystal]

"Why say that?" [Jax]

"Because Diamond is one of the least lady like person I know, if she starts acting proper we have issues" [Crystal]

"Hey, Kris, dad is texting you" [Atlas]

"Shit!" [Crystal]

"What makes you say that? You just set up your messages so you can reply from your computer, its not like he can see your computer's location" [Etch]

"Its not anything like that, we're about 20 minutes from our cars, so if dad needs us home, he may get a bit suspicious cause the studio is only like ten minutes away from home" [Crystal]

"Well, spill, what's the issue?" [Flyn]

"When did you get here?" [Atlas]

"Mom needed me to clean up before I left, I just got here" [Flyn]

"So apparently dad is in panic with papa, we have two weeks till the deadline, we have the information, we just need to finish getting cleaned up, so you guys clean up, I'll send this stuff over" [Crystal]

"Yes ma'am!" [Everyone - Crystal]

I quickly shifted to opening all the folders I had with each bit of information before creating a new one and putting everything in it.

Everyone else was just trying to trash the place while keeping all our tech in tact to make it seem like the place was torn apart while someone was being searched for, i.e: us.

Once everything was set up, we each grabbed the tech and quickly ran to our cars to hide everything.

I had to use my spare tire about a month ago and didn't replace it yet, so I had an easy way to hide everything since the space was pretty large and well secured cause dad wanted me to have a space to hide mafia stuff when I turned 18.

Atlas and I started to make our way home after we got everything packed up.

"So, do you have our gear for when the raid starts or no?"

"Oh, I have everything lined up, I just need to get the gear into my car"

"What do you have?"

"Black body suits that go over our wings and my ears and tails, but I think I'll keep my ears and tail hidden so my wings are the only thing that can easily point to me, but dad knows I don't like hiding them"

"Any masks?"

"They make us look like ninjas, but yes"

"So we get to be ninjas for a day? Sick"

"We need to be careful getting out though, papa has work the set day, so he will expect us to either leave the house or hide, so we just need to make sure we park in a place that can't easily be found and doesn't look suspicious when they check our location"

"This is really going to happen, isn't it?"

"Yup, is it really hitting you now?"

"Yeah"

We just continued to talk about the plan the rest of the car ride home, but once we got home, all conversation about it just stopped, we had to keep the charade after all.
