Jimin had just joined BangTan University and he was already noted by many people - it looked like he didn't belong with his peers. Jimin wore loose hoodies and pants. He kept to himself. He looked like a total nerd with those glasses. Jimin joined with a scholarship which also made people come to know about him. Rest of the students were from well-to do families. Among the people who noticed him, was his senior Jungkook and his group of friends.

Jungkook was the certified bad boy of their university. He was from an upper middle class family, he was hot and handsome, had that 'I am greater than thou' attitude that made other students want to be his friend, but of course Jungkook didn't encourage that unless the person was his girlfriend or boyfriend for the weekend.

Jungkook didn't do relationships - the most he does is having an arm candy to show off in the clubs he frequents and the most he does with them is allow them to sit with him and his friends and share the occasional body caresses and hickies and blowjobs - he has never kissed them on the lips nor slept with them

Jungkook often engages in dares and bets but it was always limited to their friend circle or something that didn't involve a completely new third person - like drinking spicy drinks, walking shirtless in the snow with no boots after a cold shower, something that was happening within the group.

Jungkook is surprised when Yoongi suggests a bet involving Jimin. The main reason why Yoongi did that was because Jungkook would purposely come in Jimin's vicinity with his friends and when asked, Jungkook would say this area is better than their daily meet ups at the rooftop. Jungkook dismisses the bet

"I won't do this stupid bet..."

"Is it because you actually like him?"

Jungkook glares at his friends

"He is nothing to me"

"Prove it by breaking his heart"

Actually his friends didn't think Jungkook would do it. They just wanted the man to confess his feelings to them.

Jungkook approached Jimin at the canteen where Jimin was listening to a podcast on his headphones.

"Do you mind if I sit here?" Jungkook's presence makes Jimin look at the man confused as he poses the podcast

"Huh?"

Jungkook chuckles at the confused look

"I asked if I can sit here... with you.. "

"S-Sure..."

Jungkook sits in silence before he pokes Jimin

"What are you listening to?"

"Oh its a podcast about the gut brain axis..." Jimin says removing his earphones before proceeding to put it back

"Gut brain what?" Jungkook frowns

"Yea..." Jimin giggles "...its interesting to know what you eat, not just affects your gut but the whole body....it explains why people get hairloss or any autoimmune disease which could all be prevented by just monitoring what you eat.."

Jungkook is amused at how passionate Jimin sounded

"Tell me more..."

And thats how their friendship started.

Two weeks of meeting later, Jungkook asks Jimin to be his boyfriend but the boy refuses. But that didn't stop their friendship- Jungkook even stopped hanging out with his friends to drop Jimin to and from a part time job.
