I ate the food that Furiosa brought me. It was actually really good for wasteland food. I look over at Furiosa, "Look, I'm really sorry about everything. I want you to know that I'm truely sorry." I say looking down at my feet. I know I was mean and I felt like shit for it.
"Ariadne it's okay. Don't worry about it." She said softly, turning my head to hers, kissing me softly. I kissed back, grabbing her placing her on my lap and pulling her closer. I wrap my arms around her waist and place my forehead in front of hers. "I love you" I say quietly.
I haven't used that word in a long time. But what I felt for her was true. I did love her. She made What's left of my heart melt. She made me feel safe and loved. I knew she cared for me and I was finally okay with letting her know that I cared for her.
We stayed like that for a while. Both of silent but it was a comforting silence. We didn't have to talk to enjoy each others company. I looked into her eyes. There was a sense of happiness in her eyes. I just held her tight not wanting to let go.
