Long Distance Call

Catra hears a ringing noise and it's her communicator. She picks it up and it says "Adora" and then answers it.

"Hey babe."

"Hey Cat, what's going on?"

"Nothing just reading a book to try to pass the time."

"Oh ok."

"How's your little business trip?"

"Well......it's going pretty smooth, but it's boring mostly."

"I can tell, you sound tired."

"Super. How's Mia?"

"She's doing fine, she really misses you though."

"Yeah, I know."

"Wanna talk to her?"

"I'd love too."

"Hey Mia?" Catra calls for her kitten.

"Yes Mommy?" She replies from upstairs.

"Mama is on the communicator and she wants to talk to you."

"Really!? I'm coming down!" Mia runs down the stairs so quick and eagerly.

"I can already hear her excitement."

"She's always excited. I'm gonna put you on holo mode."

"Ok."

Catra puts the device on holo mode which puts up a holographic image of Adora to talk to physically. She then sets it on the table with Mia sitting on the chair as Catra sits back on the couch and continues reading.

"Hi Mama!"

"Hey baby! How's it going?"

"It's going well, I just did my homework."

"That's good! I'm proud of you."

"Thanks."

Catra smiles and looks at her kitten being happy.

"Have you been kicking some bad guy butt?"

Adora chuckles. "Not much, but I am."

Mia starts giggling for a little bit and then slowly fades to complete silence.

"I miss you Mama."

"Awww, I miss you too baby. It's only for a couple days ok?"

"Ok." Mia's voice becomes a little low.

"Hey, cheer up. Remember, always be positive, you're doing great."

"Ok. I will."

"That's what I like to hear." Adora then suddenly starts to yawn heavily.

"Woo! I'm tired, I'm gonna get some sleep and you should too, you got school in the morning."

"Ok Mama, I feel better now talking to you."

"That's good sweetie, I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Alright Mama. Love you."

"Love you too baby. Bye." She waves at her.

"Bye." Mia waves back.

Catra then picks up the device. "Alright babe I'll talk to you later."

"Alright I'm heading to bed now."

"Ok, see ya babe."

"See ya."

Catra hangs up the device as Mia feels extremely happy.

"Better now?"

"Yeah!"

"That's good, only a couple of days ok?"

"Ok."

"Now let's get you ready for bed."

Catra picks up the kitten and takes her to her bedroom.
