Chapter 62: Providing comfort

"I'm sorry Deku. I'm just in shock right now" Uraraka said through her sobbing on her knees hunched over and clutching her chest. The same thing Deku had done when All Might told him he could be a hero.

"It's ok I'm a little in shock myself too. I saw your eyes beginning to tear up when he initially said no. I'm pretty sure you were devastated that's why I tried to argue with Mr Aizawa to try and change his mind but he never let me. I've got a pretty good idea how you feel going from devastated to relieved and happy and whatever else you're feeling right now. In fact I can remember a moment in my life where that happened to me and I did exactly what you're doing now. Nevertheless it's ok I'm here for you. Whatever you need" Deku said reassuringly. There was a pause in her sobbing as it slowed to a few sniffles as Uraraka thought about what to say or what she wanted from Deku in this moment.

"Hold me" she said wiping some tears from her eyes although they were immediately replaced with new ones that fell down her cheeks. Deku didn't say anything he simply did as she asked. He sat down beside her to her left wrapping his left arm across her chest as she was hunched over and placing his hand on her waist. Then with his right arm he simply put it over the back of her shoulders and cupped the side of her head. Once he'd done this he slowly and gently pulled her into him so she was leaning against him on her side and he pulled her head into his chest allowing her to hear the sound of his heartbeat. She cuddled up to him as close as she could get feeling his warmth and listening to the strangely soothing sound of his heartbeat.

"How's this?" Deku asked holding her.

"Perfect" she said closing her eyes and smiling as she felt happy.

Mr Aizawa agreed to talk it over with the teachers about letting Eri stay here with us and I have the best boyfriend in the world. He's so sweet.

Deku took the hand that was cupping Uraraka's head and holding it close to him and moved it to begin stroking Uraraka's head.

"Mmmm" was all she gave in response. It was soothing. Relaxing. Comforting.

Wow this is amazing. Who knew having your head stroked was so therapeutic.

"You ok there?" Deku asked chuckling slightly at the way she was curled up on his lap with her eyes closed and smiling as she made the occasional moan and groan of approval. It was like she was asleep and having a really good dream.

"Just dandy... Uuuuugh" she said her expression changing from one of content to one of discomfort and pain as she winced and grimaced.

"Hey what's wrong? Is it me am I doing something wrong?" he asked worried she was in pain because of him.

"What? No it's not you don't worry. I'm just getting period pains that's all" she said wincing as the pain increased.

Goddamnit it feels like somebody is squeezing my insides and then just twisting them around in circles just for the hell of it. Stupid period I hate being a girl sometimes! Uuuuugh it hurts so muc-....

"How's this?" Deku asked now stroking her back. He'd lifted the back of her shirt up a little so he could get his hand under it to stroke her back.

"Surprisingly it's helping" she said now back to smiling. Deku's hand felt so smooth and soothing as it glided across her skin as he continued to stroke her back. His movements were slow and gentle and he was thinking about each one of them. He imagined drawing patterns on her back with his hand as he stroked her occasionally gently scratching as he did much to her approval.

Wow this feels so nice. I can't even feel my pains anymore just the warmth and comfort of his hand on my back. I need to get him to give me back strokes more often.

"We should probably get up off the floor at some point and start our day properly. The others will be back soon" Uraraka said. She didn't want to move at all though she wanted to stay like this for as long as possible. Content and happy in Deku's arms.

"We don't have to do anything just yet" Deku said sensing that she didn't actually want to move or get up.

"I like the sound of that" she said finally opening her eyes after all this time. Deku didn't see that though because her head was still resting against his chest so he could only see the top of her head and not her face as it was directly under his chin. She pulled her head away from his chest slightly and tilted it to look up at him. Feeling her movements Deku allowed her the freedom to move as he was holding her against him quite tightly. He looked down and was met with her eyes gazing back into his own.

"Have I ever told you that you have the most beautiful eyes?" he asked blushing slightly along with Uraraka.

"That's funny I was gonna say the same thing about yours" she said smiling at him. The two of them were completely lost in each other's gaze completely locked in. Deku pushed some of her hair back and tucked it behind her ear.

"You're so sweet" she said blushing even more at this point.

"And you're beautiful" he replied.

He's being so romantic.

They slowly started to lean in their faces slowly getting closer.

"Deku..." Uraraka said her voice trembling slightly as her eyes closed halfway.

"Ochako..." Deku replied his voice also trembling and his eyes only half open. Their faces slowly inched closer until they were less than an inch apart. They closed their eyes all the way at this point as their lips met in what was a truly blissful moment. They both moaned at the sheer ecstasy of each other's kiss.

I'm in heaven. He's just so perfect.

After a very long and deep kiss their lips finally parted leaving the two of them face to face and breathing heavily.

"I'll never get tired of that" Uraraka said chuckling a little as her body still felt warm and tingly.

"Me neither" Deku said also feeling the same sensations.

"Well as amazing as it is being held, stroked and kissed by you I think it's about time we got up off the floor" she said realising they needed to get up and actually do something with their day.

"Yeah you're right. I think I'm going to go for a run. Wanna come with?" he asked standing up and offering her a hand to help her up. She took it and he helped pick her up off the floor. She was going to say yes but she suddenly realised something.

"No that's ok I was gonna take a shower" she said making an excuse.

"Ok that's cool. I'll be back soon" he said walking out the door already in his workout clothes.

"See you later" she said waving him goodbye. What Deku had said to her earlier when she was on her knees sobbing and clutching her chest played itself on repeat in her mind. 

"I've got a pretty good idea how you feel going from devastated to relieved and happy and whatever else you're feeling right now. In fact I can remember a moment in my life where that happened to me and I did exactly what you're doing now"
