~~~Keith~~~
After Shiro suggested that we take a break, Coran went back to the kitchen to get us something to drink. While he was gone, I noticed Saoirse was bobbing her head up and down, struggling to stay awake.
I couldn't say that I wasn't surprised that she was like this. Before we came to space, she wasn't sleeping properly.
A few minutes later, Coran came back with a tray filled with water pouches.
"You have been working heard. Maybe it's time to relax a little." Coran said as he handed each of us a water pouch.
Shiro looked over at Saoirse, who had barely touched her water.
"Hey, Saoirse." He said.
"Yes, Shiro?" She asked.
"What was that that you were thinking about?" We all looked at her, waiting for an answer.
"Yeah, when we were mind melding or whatever, it was like your kind was a storm, but prettier." Lance commented.
"And there was a strange white diamond in the center." Pidge added.
Saoirse looked down at her hands, her face holding a confused expression.
"I don't know." She answered.
"You don't know?" Hunk repeated questioningly, "How could you not know? It's your mind."
Saoirse just shook her head. Shiro and I, knowing about her mind works, knew that it was tough for her to not remember things. Especially from the past.
"Maybe it's a sign that you're remembering things, Saoirse." I said. She shuddered, making everyone look at her with curiosity and confusion.
"What do you mean by that, Keith?" Pidge asked.
Saoirse put her hand on my shoulder, silently telling me to stop talking. I looked over at her and she looked at me, her eyes turning sad as she shook her head.
I opened my mouth to speak, but Shiro beat me to it.
"Saoirse, sooner or later we need to tell them." He said as he stood up and walked over to Saoirse's side, putting his hand on her shoulder.
"I'm... I'm not ready to do that just yet." She said softly.
"But Saoirse-"
"Takashi!" She shouted, surprising us all. It had been the first time that everyone but me and Shiro had heard her shout, even just a little. But this was the first time I ever heard her call Shiro by his first name.
Everyone was silent. At least until the door slid open. Allura stomped into the room angrily with the mice on her shoulders.
"What are you doing lying around? You're supposed to be training!" She shouted at us.
"Just resting a bit." Coran said, "You know, you can't push too hard."
I didn't care. I just sipped my water like it what Alluea was scolding us for was nothing.
"What do mean, "can't push too hard"? Get up, you lazy lumps! It's time you faced the Gladiator!"
I growled, squeezing my pouch until the rest of my water was all over my hands. I could handle someone calling me lazy, but if she was referring to Sapirse as well, she was due for a good smack.
I was just about to get up and hit Allura, when a hand stopped me. I looked down and saw Saoirse holding me back.
She looked up at me and shook her head. I sighed and forgot about me hitting the Princess. Allura didn't deserve Saoirse's kindness.
