"Kix," Rex said as he sat on the edge of the medical bed, "When can I leave this place?"

Kix huffed, "If you keep whining you're gonna stay here forever,"

Rex scoffed, "Well give me something to to other than count all the tiles on the ceiling,"

Kix couldn't help but smile, "Well how many tiles are on the ceiling?"

"299. Which makes me annoyed that it's not a perfect 300,"

"....interesting. Well, find something to do, I have to go and help Stitch (newbie medic) because he's struggling to help Wolffe."

"Wait, what happened to Wolffe?"

"He won't let us get close enough to check him, so I'm not sure. That's why I have to go,"

Kix left the room and left Rex sitting there. He smiled to himself thinking of all the possibles to get back at his brother for forcing him to stay in this wretched place. But he refrained from doing any of those ideas.

*About an hour later*

Kix stormed into his room and went over to a table with a drawer in it. He grabbed a Bacta patch out of it and sat on the chair next to Rex's bed and huffed as he sat down. He looked at Kix confused but didn't ask any questions. Rex knew that if he did, he would get is throat cut out if he bothered Kix when he's in one of his moods.

"He bit me, because apparently my hand was too close to his face," Kix said angrily as he put the Bacta patch on his hand, "Seriously. He bit me. All I was trying to do was see if his skull was fractured or if it was just concussed. I think I know why the Wolfpack can't find a full time medic,"

Rex snorted, "Wolffe bit you!?" He started to laugh when Kix nodded.

"And he's got incredibly sharp canines," Kix said upset.

"Well yeah, that's why everyone nicknamed him 'Wolffe'. Partly because of his attitude, but also because of his sharp teeth,"

"Uh-huh," Kix said slowly, "Anyway, I came in to tell you that Ahsoka is coming to visit. But it won't be for a few hours, so you'll have to be bored a little longer,"

Rex muttered swear words to himself and nodded in acknowledgment. Kix got up and left the room. Rex stood up from the bed and practiced walking around. His leg that was sliced was a bit stiff and the muscles hurt a little when he took a step. He walked to the other side of the room and opened up a bag. He pulled out his blacks, the bottom half of his armor, and the armor for his forearms and hands. He quickly changed out of the hospital wear and into the bottom half of his armor.

Once Rex was done, he stiffly walked over to the door and opened it. He looked both ways, crossing his fingers Kix wouldn't spot him, but he was hungry and wanted to eat. Rex turned left and headed to the mess hall. The passing clones stopped and saluted him as he would walk by, Rex would just nod at them. He turned a corner and saw Kix coming his direction. Oh stang Rex thought. He turned on his heels and started to walk in the other direction, but he was too slow.

"CT-7567, what do you think you're doing!?" Kix yelled.

Rex stopped in his tracks and turned around, seeing Kix's angry face, "Heeeyyyy, Kix...... funny seeing you here...." he said awkwardly.

The medic mentally facepalmed, "Go back to your room!"

"But I'm hungryyy," Rex whined.

Kix groaned as he walked up to Rex, "Argh, you are driving me up the wall! Go. Leave. Go back to your room and don't come out until Ahsoka comes,"

"What?! I'm not cadet Kix. You can't t-"

"No!" Kix pointed his finger at Rex, "Go." He said sternly.

"But your just a medic, you can't tell me what to do," As soon as Rex said that he knew he would regret it.

"Yeah that's right, I'm medic. That means I can break every single bone in your body while naming them," he stood there with his arms crossed.

Damn okay. "Fine," Rex muttered.

Kix quietly sniggered at his captain's attitude and couldn't help but say, "Y'know, you said you aren't a cadet, but you sure are acting like one,"

Rex scoffed and headed back to his room. Kix followed him from a distance to make sure he would actually go back. Once Rex went back into the room and shut the door, Kix turned around and went back to his business. He started to rummage through all the drawers he could find, hoping to discover some form of entertainment. He found a data pad and tried to turn it on, but it wasn't working. He lightly banged it against the side of his bed but it still wouldn't work. Ah ha. Now he had something to keep him occupied for a while.

*A long while later of trying to fix the broken data pad*

"Gah!" Rex threw the data pad on the floor, "Stupid piece of-"

His raging was interrupted by Ahsoka opening up the door. Rex looked at her and regretted yelling at the electronic. Ahsoka snickered and said, "I see you're having fun,"

Rex scoffed, "Yeah. If you call being locked in here 'fun,'"

"I was joking," Ahsoka came in and shut the door behind her.

Rex stood up and she hugged him, happy he was okay. She gave him a light peck on the lips and rested her head on his chest, which made Rex smile. He pulled her closer and kissed her montral, "Can you get me out of here?"

"Well did Kix say you could leave," she said, still leaning into him.

There was a long pause, "Well no, but I'm hungry and I feel fine. I'm able to walk around and do activities."

"Hmm," Ahsoka thought, "Well maybe I should discuss it with Kix. After all, if he doesn't know about you leaving, he would shoot you,"

"No he wouldn't shoot me. He would break every bone in my body while naming them," Rex said in a mocking tone.

Ahsoka squeezed his abdomen tighter and chuckled, "Did he say that?"

"Yep,"

Ahsoka took a step away from Rex and he slid his hands down to both sides of her hips, "C'mon, Rex. Let's go get Kix,"

She turned to walk away but Rex pulled her closer so that their faces were inches apart. She could feel his hot breath against her, it smelled minty and fresh, "I can't leave," Rex said quietly, "Kix would be very mad,"

Ahsoka rubbed her nose against at Rex's, "You're scared of him aren't you?" She said with a smile.

Rex smiled back, "No I'm not, he's just scary when he's mad,"

"Uh-huh. Well then I'll just com him,"

Rex lightly groaned, "Do you have to talk to him now?"

Ahsoka smiled and pushed her lips against Rex's and he kissed her back passionately. He thought back to all the times they did this in secret. They had been at this a while, yet no one except Cody and Kix knew about them. At least he wasn't bad at keeping his relationship with Ahsoka a secret, unlike Anakin. Everyone knows about them. Rex suddenly felt Ahsoka's absence and he noticed she was gone. He turned and saw Ahsoka was at the other side of the room doing something on her wrist com. "Hey!" Rex said jokingly. Ahsoka have him an innocent smile and pulled up Kix's contact.

"Commander," Kix's voice came through her com, "What can I do for you?"

"I was wondering if Rex is able to leave now, he seems very restless," Ahsoka smiled as he said this.

Kix sighed, "Knowing him, and you, I'll have to release him.... Fine, he can go, just make sure he doesn't overdo it,"

"Alright, thank you Kix,"

Ahsoka hung up and walked up to Rex. She put her arms around his neck and he put his hands on her lower back, "You ready to go?" Ahsoka asked.

Rex kissed her, "Yep,"

"Well then, let's go," Ahsoka said.
