I hand Danny his coffee mug quietly, taking a seat next to him at the island in my kitchen on one of the stools. "So, tell me what's been up with you, Danny." I say, smiling.

"Uh," he drums his fingers on his mug. "nothing much. Just working a lot. I haven't been up to much lately." he shrugs, taking a sip of his coffee.

I nod. "Yeah..." we sit in silence for a few more seconds before I think of something else to ask. "Have you been dating?"

"Not really," he shakes his head, laughing a little. "well, I've gone on some dates, but they haven't really led me anywhere."

I frown. "That sucks. I was sure you'd be in a relationship by now."

"Yeah, but now I'm just letting shit ride out. I'll find a girlfriend when I'm meant to find one, you know?" he asks, looking over at me.

I nod. "Yeah, we're definitely on the same page for that. I think the same way."

"You haven't found anyone yet either?" he asks after a few moments.

I hesitate, my mind drifting off to Juan, but in the end, I shake my head. "Nope. Not yet."

He smirks. "You hesitated, Cami." he says, nudging me slightly.

"Did not." I smile, rolling my eyes.

He laughs. "Yes you did! Look at you, you're getting all red."

I shove him playfully, shaking my head. "I did not. And the coffee is making me hot, that's all." I say, pushing the mug away from me.

He chuckles. "Whatever. I'll drop it. I can see it's getting you all flustered."

"I hate you." I say, shaking my head.

"I missed hanging out with you. Just us." he smiles after a few moments. "We're always with Sofia and Vanessa when we hang out."

I nod. "Yeah, it's been a while. Probably since we dated..." I trail off awkwardly.

He nods. "Yeah..."

We sit in awkward silence for another couple of seconds, not knowing exactly where to go from here. After our breakup, we never really went back and talked about our relationship or the months that we dated for. "Hey, you know what I just came across a few days ago while I was going through my closet?" I ask, standing.

"No...?" he says.

"Come with me." I smile, walking towards my room.

He follows me, stopping at the door. I walk in all the way, going into my closet quickly. I walk back out a few seconds later to see him sitting at the foot of my bed. Smiling, I toss a hoodie at him which he catches. "No way." he laughs, looking down at the black Nike hoodie.

I smile, taking a seat next to him. "Yeah, I completely forgot I had it." I laugh. "I think it's time I give it back."

He looks down at it for a few more moments before shaking his head. "No," he smiles, looking back up at me. "it was your favorite. Keep it."

"Thanks Danny. I'll make sure to wear it a lot." I smile, nodding. He gave me this hoodie a while back on one of our dates because I was cold. I thought it was the cutest thing ever, and it was also my favorite hoodie of his. He looked really good in it.

We stare at each other for a few seconds before he clears his throat. "I really wish we would've worked out, Cami." he smiles sadly.

My breath hitches a little at that. "Yeah, it would've been nice, huh?" I nod, letting out a small laugh.

"Why didn't we work out again?" he asks, chuckling.

"Wrong timing, I suppose. I really don't know, to be honest."

He nods. "Do you think now would be the right time, maybe?"

"I..."

"I haven't been able to stop thinking of you since that night we surprised you at the club, Camila. Like at all." he admits with a shrug.

I'm in shock. What? "I don't know what to say, Danny." I let out an awkward laugh. "I had no idea..."

He nods. "I didn't expect you to. I'd hope I didn't make it that obvious." he chuckles.

I laugh. "Well you didn't make it obvious. Not at all."

"Good. But I do still really care about you, Camila. I would love to give things another try..." he trails off, his eyes wandering down to my lips.

I look at him, still in shock. "I..I mean-" is all I can get out, and not to my surprise, his lips find mine quickly.
