As he turned the side, he saw Mereoleona fighting an army of random devils on her own. When he saw her flames, he remembered what he saw at the end of Kyoya's battle.

Soon Asta flew towards the devil with incredible speed. As the devil looked at Asta, it swung down one of its arms at him. Seeing this, Asta sliced the devil's hand down the middle with the Demon-Slayer sword. When he did, Asta looked down as he saw Damnatio Kira, the man who tried to have him executed, amongst the crowd of people on the ground.
