The Wolves Task Force had now returned from their encounter with the Serpent's Hand in UnLondon and when they arrived at the site, it was already nighttime. The group had gotten off the helicopter and were now heading inside.
"Alright, guys. I'll tell the general and the captain about our mission." Riley told the group. "That way, you guys can rest."
"Surely we can come with you, right?" Freddie asked.
"Well, if it's you Fred, then sure. Feel free to tag along." Riley answered. "The rest of you, you're heading back inside."
"Why? Come on, I wanna tag along too." Dustin said.
"Listen, Fred here is the only one I trust fully." Riley clarified. "Drista, Dustin, Ariel and Greg, you're getting there, and especially not you, Adrian."
"Oh come on..." Adrian reacted.
"No, Adrian." Riley bluntly answered.
"Well, maybe I should sit this one out then..." Freddie second guessed. "I'm sure all of us are tired from the mission."
"Fine, all of you just head back inside." Riley told the group. "I'll go the field to tell the general and the captain about the mission. Everyone got that?"
"Got it." the group nodded.
"Good, I better not see you outside." Riley said.
With that final statement, the corporal left to go tell the captain and the general about their field mission.
"Yeah, so anyway, that was fun right?" Cunningham spoke.
"Kinda, but I can tell ya, being chased isn't that much fun..." Dustin replied.
"Sure it is!" Cunningham chimed. "Just think of it as a weird way to play tag! Then you'll find it a lot easier."
"Well, whatever gets the blood pumping, I guess..." Dustin replied, not knowing what else to say back.
"Anyways, we'll see ya guys tomorrow morning." Cunningham said as she held on to the receiver, then turned to her best friend. "Come on Greg, we're gonna take this back."
"Yeah, see you later." Dustin replied.
With that, Cunningham went inside the site to return the frequency receiver to the Foundation technicians.
"Anyways, maybe we should be heading to sleep too." Freddie said to the group. "It's getting a bit late."
"Yeah, kinda want some shut-eye right about now..." Adrian yawned.
"That's all you wanna do with your time, Adrian." Drista bluntly said.
"Yeah, just don't sleep outside again..." Dustin reminded him about that moment back in their summer camp, causing Drista to laugh.
"Wha? Hey! It's not like I wanted to sleep there!" Adrian opposed. "There just wasn't enough room in the tent!"
"You could've slept next to Bertrand David." Freddie said.
"He took up every space of the tent!" Adrian replied. "I had no choice! If I slept next to him, I'd be dead the next morning because I'd be crushed to death!"
"Was it worth it though?" Drista asked. "You did get a cold the next morning."
"Yeah, you were sneezing like crazy." Dustin added.
"Hey, if it meant not sleeping next to 'Big Bert', then I'd say it's worth it." Adrian answered. "Beats getting my bones broken, with the side of suffocation."
