21: Governor General

Several days later, General Vicente had the whole family visit the Governor General's Mansion. He wanted to introduce them to the Governor General and also to have Yumi and Victoria get acquainted to the youths around their ages.

Anyway, they had to wait for the court to finish first before going inside and meet the Governor General. So the Great General sent them to a waiting room first where there were food and drinks to occupy them while the court was on going.

Soon, it was just Doña Margarita, Victoria and Yumi ang naiwan doon.

The servants served them tea as per Doña Margarita's request.

"Do you think the Governor General is scary?" Yumi suddenly asked.

In fact, she was really curious.

In modern times, the leader of their country was called President.

How different the role of Governor General to the President then?

"He is naturally intimidating? How else do you think can he rule a country? He is powerful, you know." Victoria said.

Yumi nodded though it wasn't enough for her curiousity.

Anyway, she didn't pursue the topic anymore.

Sakto din naman kasi na may pumasok sa waiting room kung nasaan sila.

"Let me save you from the boredom of this room."

It was Doña Silvanna.

Agad na tumayo ang tatlo upang batiin ang doña.

"Doña Silvanna..."

"Doña Margarita..."

"N-ninang..."

Lahat sila ay napatingin sa maliit na nilalang sa may tabi ni Doña Silvanna.

The kid with his watery big eyes was looking at Yumi.

The latter's mouth twitched. Why was this little demon looking at her like this?

"Un... Hi, Sedric."

Then the kid slowly went to her and reached for her hand.

Yumi instantly stiffened and then looked at Doña Silvanna for help.

"Pfft..." Victoria couldn't help chuckling.

Even Doña Margarita had smile on her face.

Who would have thought that a kid would actually like Yumi?

The doñas just found it amusing.

But Victoria who knew Yumi's true color naturally found this very funny.

Kundi nga lang nila kaharap ang dalawang doña ay baka tumawa na talaga siya ng malakas dahil dito.

"Yumi, Sedric likes you so much. How about you spent time with him?"

Bago pa man makasagot si Yumi, the doña went to Doña Margarita and Victoria upang ayain ang dalawa.

"Let's go to the garden."

Kinawit pa ng doña ang braso sa dalawa at nauna nang lumabas ng kwarto.

Walang nagawa si Yumi kundi ang sumunod na lang sa dalawa.

As soon as they went to the garden, the doñas had been absorbed with their conversation.

Meanwhile, Yumi and Victoria were together looking out for Sedric.

"Damn, this is so good, eh? A kid actually likes you. So crazy!" Victoria laughingly told Yumi.

"Ha-ha... Saya ka na niyan?"
