Avengers Preferences and Imagines

PLEASE READ THIS AND HELP US.

Hi everyone. I posted this as an announcement but for those of you who don't follow me or don't read those, I'm begging you to give me just a moment of your time and listen to what I have to say.

I know this isn't the update you all wanted, and it's not the one I had in mind either. But this is beyond important and I have to say it here as well in hopes that it will reach as many of you as possible because we need your help. Consider this a call to action.

So it was recently brought to my attention that a sight by the name of "teenfic.net" is ripping off the genuine, hard work of WP creators. They're taking OUR stories and copy pasting them to their website without so much as notifying the original authors that they're doing so OR giving us credit for our hard work.

I'll be honest: when I first heard this I didn't believe it. I thought: "this can't really be true can it?" But I decided to look into it anyways. And sure enough, after running a search for my WP username, there was my own work looking back at me. It was listed with MY username, used the same cover that I MADE, and had the exact same description as my book on here.

I was truly blown away to see not only MY work there, but some of yours, my friends, there as well. I searched for some of y'all's usernames and was met with more fake copies of your hard work, I was in shock. What they're doing is not only WRONG, but ILLEGAL. It's blatant plagiarism and it's against the law. I thought that having the "All Rights Reserved" on my content would keep my work safe from stuff like this. I was WRONG.

There's a petition going around that is almost at 10,000 signatures. If you don't believe me about any of this, I urge you to go onto the site and search for not only your own username but those of your friends too.

I know that I personally have put a WORLD of effort into my stories and the world I've used them to create, and seeing not only my own, but the hard work of others getting blatantly ripped off is ENRAGING. Even if you haven't written anything, or you haven't been ripped off: LOTS OF US HAVE. I urge you to think of how that would make you feel if it was you. And if it isn't? Think about how your friends or your favourite WP writers are feeling right now after a discovery like this.

So please: if you can, help us stop these people. If you can spare the time to do so: SIGN THE PETITION. I'm not asking you to contribute financially because not everyone can. But at the very least I urge you to sign. Help us but the hard work of so many WP authors back into their rightful hands.
