Tony Stark

After a few months of keeping our relationship on the down-low to avoid the press, tonight Tony and I were going on our first public date together. We had been together for a few months now and had finally decided that now was as good a time as any for us to be seen together in public. We knew that the press would have a field day with our relationship, as they followed Tony wherever he went, and we knew that we couldn't put this off any longer. I spun around in the mirror, carefully examining every aspect of my appearance. Although Tony was practically my boyfriend now, I couldn't help but feel jittery about tonight. Not only was this my first public date with Tony, but it was also the first time the press would be seeing us together as a couple; everything about my appearance had to be perfect. Because Tony refused to tell me where we were going, I had no idea what to wear and the only advice he had given me was to "wear something nice" so I chose my favorite dress. A beautiful, knee-length (your favorite color) silk slip dress that had ruching in all right places, and just felt luxurious to the touch. I was still nitpicking my appearance, Tony knocked on my door. When I opened the door, Tony was dressed in one of his finest suits, and holding a bouquet of (your favorite flowers). "Aw Tony, you didn't have to bring flowers!" I exclaimed excitedly as I took them from him and placed them on my dresser. "Sure I did. This is our first real date, and I want it to be special. I owe you that much. Especially when you've been so patient on the matter and in helping us avoid a media frenzy." He slung an arm around my shoulders, placed a kiss on my forehead, and lead me out the door to the car.

Once we had arrived I found out that Tony had decided on an up-and-coming French restaurant that had recently opened uptown. I had been saying how badly I wanted to go there since they had opened, and Tony had always told me that one day he would take me. My heart fluttered a bit, I loved that he remembered. When we got out of the car, Tony proudly took my hand in his to lead me into the restaurant, making sure that all the waiting press knew that Tony Stark was officially off the market. When we walked into the restaurant I couldn't help but stop to admire the interior of the restaurant. The pure elegance and opulence of the place made me feel as if I had been transported to France at the height of the renaissance; the feeling was otherworldly, the French Renaissance was my favorite era, and to feel like I was living in it was a dream come true. "Do you love it?" He whispered in my ear as we followed the waiter to our table. "More than you know" I whispered back as we took our seats. Dinner was filled with amazing food, exemplary wine, and even better conversation. I barely even noticed the other diners craning their necks to catch a glimpse of us, or trying to snap a picture. We ended the night with a dessert that I could only describe as decadent, and a champagne toast to go along with it.

I was admittedly disappointed when dinner was coming to a close, I didn't want to leave this beautiful restaurant. Thinking nothing of it, I took my wallet out of my bag to pay for half of the meal, despite the considerable total. Naturally, this didn't get past Tony. "If you think you're paying for this in any way, you're sadly mistaken." He informed me, his perfect smile still plastered on his face. I was used to his stubbornness and held my ground regardless. "This bill is abysmal, and I can certainly contribute-" he leaned across the table and silenced me with the softest kiss I had ever experienced. "I know that you can (y/n). But you work so hard, and I appreciate everything you do. So please, just let me take care of this." He pleaded. I continued to glare at him from across the table, my resolve weakening as I stared into his pleading eyes. Finally, I caved. "Fine, but next time we do something less over the top and we split it." I bargained, knowing it was the last of my resolve. He extended his hand for me to shake. "Deal." I agreed and we shook on it. "I just wanted to take you on the best first date you've ever been on" Tony admitted rather sheepishly. My heart swelled at the sentiment."Don't you worry, this was without a doubt the best first date that I've ever been on." I assured him as I accepted his hand and stood up from our table. "Hopefully it'll be your last first date" he whispered in my ear as he lead me out of the restaurant, my hand in his. I reveled in that feeling for a moment before leaving the restaurant with him, happier than I had ever been before.
