I sat down, leaning my back against the wall.
There was a knock on my bedroom door. I didn't even have to guess who it was, because part of me already knew.
"Leave me alone, Stefan." I said, my voice cracking ever so slightly.
"Just tell me what's wrong." Stefan said.
"I don't want to talk." I said.
"Then just listen. I know you've been upset lately. You've seemed, distant, and I can't figure out why. I just want to know what's wrong." Stefan said.
I got up. I walked over to the door then opened it. "You really want to know what's wrong, Stefan? You want to know why I've been distant?" I asked.
"Yeah, I do." Stefan said.
"Because I can't keep faking anymore. I can't pretend I'm okay with what we are. I don't want to be your friend, Stefan." I said.
"What? Why? Did I do something wrong?" Stefan asked.
I shook my head. "No, Stefan. You didn't do anything wrong." I said.
"Then why don't you want to be friends anymore?" Stefan asked.
"Because I can't keep pretending that I think of you as a friend" I said.
"You wanna be a bit less cryptic?" Stefan asked.
"Damn it, Stefan. I like you." I said.
"I like you too, y/n." Stefan said.
I sighed. "No, I mean as more than a friend." I said.
"So do I" Stefan said.
"Right. And why's that?" I asked.
"Why do you like me?" Stefan asked.
"You're you. How could I not?" I asked.
"Exactly, and you're you." Stefan said.
"I'm not exactly the perfect person to fall for." I said.
"Well, neither am I. But, you did anyway" Stefan said.
"Fair point. I need a drink. Let's go get a drink" I said before walking out of my room.
"Alright" Stefan said.
