I had turned seventeen two weeks ago. I was stuck in a not so great situation. I felt, well, the only word to describe it was lost. I felt lost. I feel lost. I had been passed around in foster homes since I was twelve years old.

When I was twelve, my parents were killed. I didn't have much family other than them, and what little family I did have, didn't want me. Someone had chosen to adopt me, but, I wasn't happy where I was.

The people that adopted me, well, I felt like they didn't care about me. It was currently two in the morning. It was dark outside, and I was sitting next to the window.

I stared out the window. I wanted to leave this place behind, and I only knew of one way to do that. I opened up the window.

I took a deep breath, allowing the cold air to fill my lungs. "I believe." I said.

A couple of minutes went by and nothing happened. "Maybe this is a waste of time." I thought.

I took another deep breath. "I believe." I said, more firmly this time.

Another couple of minutes went by, and still nothing happened. I closed the window. "Maybe he just doesn't hear me. Or doesn't care enough to come to my aid." I thought.

I got back in bed, then laid down. I stared up at the ceiling. If I could find some money, maybe I could find a different way to get to neverland.

Two days later

I had found a small bag of coins. They were gold coins, ten of them. I hoped that it would be enough to get a magic bean. I knew they were rare, and hard to come by, but I knew someone who may have a few.

"I need a magic bean." I said.

"And you came to me?" Rumplestiltskin asked.

"I believed you would have access to that sort of magic. You are the dark one after all." I said.

"If I do? All magic comes with a price." Rumplestiltskin said.

"If it's money you want, I have gold. I can give that. I mean, I did steal it from my adoptive parents, but, who cares?" I said.

"It's not money I want, dearie. You know who I am, you must know how I do buisness." Rumplestiltskin said.

"You want to make a deal? It's a single magic bean. Plus, what could I possibly have that you could want?" I asked.

"How about that bracelet of yours?" Rumplestiltskin asked.

"This? I got it from my father, before he died." I said.

"Love is a very powerful thing. Do you want the bean or not?" Rumplestiltskin said.

"I'm not giving it up. I'll find another way to neverland." I said.

"Neverland? Why would you go to that wretched place?" Rumplestiltskin asked.

"That's my buisness, dark one. I'll keep it that way." I said before I left.

A week later

It was one in the morning. I was sitting beside my window. It was open, letting the cold air in. I liked how the cold air felt against my skin. There was a calming effect about it.

"I believe, I believe, I believe. I really do. I believe, I believe. Please take me away from here. I believe in magic, I believe in neverland. I believe in a place where you never grow old. I believe in a place with no rules. I believe in you. Please, take me away from this place." I said.

Less than a minute later a shadow flew into my room. He grabbed onto me then flew out the window. I was careful not to look down at the ground, because I felt that if I did, I would fall.

Some time later

The shadow set me down on the beach. I sat down in the sand. The sun looked like it was about to rise. I took off my shoes, then set them down beside me. I stretched my legs out and let the water brush against my feet.

A few minutes passed by, and someone sat down beside me. "I don't think I've seen you before." He said.

"I'm y/n. I just got here. The shadow brought me." I said.

"I'm Pan. Peter Pan." He said.

"I know who you are. You own this island." I said.

"If you don't mind me asking, why did you want to come to neverland?" Pan asked.

"I felt, lost, where I was." I said.

"Well, now you don't need to. You can join the lost boys and I at the camp. You can be our lost girl." Pan said.
