I was sitting in the library at the bunker. I was reading a book. Not a book to help out on a case, just a regular, fun book. It bad been a while since I had taken time and just relaxed, so that was what I had chosen to do.

I sat there, reading the book and allowing my mind to get lost in the world within. Reading was one of those things, as well as writing, that helped my escape my mind and feel better. Whether I was sad, or scared, it would usually work.

Sam sat down beside me.

I looked up from my book then looked over to him. "Hey." I said.

"Hey. Whatcha reading?" Sam asked.

"Just a book. My favorite book, actually." I said.

Sam smiled. "What's it about?" He asked.

I went on to explain what the book was about, going into a lot of detail about the plot. A bit of time had passed before I was finished explaining it.

"Sounds pretty interesting." Sam said.

I nodded my head. "Yeah, I think so. I enjoy it." I said.

"Good." Sam said.

"Uh huh. So, what's up? Did you just come in here to ask me about a book?" I asked.

"Actually, no." Sam said.

I nodded my head slightly. "Yeah, I didn't think so. What's up?" I asked.

"You've been acting strange since Bobby died." Sam said.

"That was, quite a while ago, Sam. You're just now asking about it?" I asked, sounding a little surprised.

"To be honest, it took me a while to piece it together." Sam said.

"Right. Well, I don't know. I just miss him, Sam. You know? He was, like a dad to me. He was practically the only family I had." I said.

"You have me and Dean." Sam said.

"I know. It's just, part of me feels like it's missing without him. I know it's weird." I said.

"I doubt that you're the first person to lose someone that felt like a part of them was gone too." Sam told me.

I shrugged my shoulders slightly. "You're probably right. It's probably more common than I think." I said.

"Exactly. Why haven't you said anything about how you were feeling?" Sam asked.

"I'm not always the best at opening up about my feelings. So when it comes down to it, I tend to bury them." I said.

"You don't have to do that. You can talk to me about them" Sam said.

"I know I can. And, I appreciate that you want me to. It's just, not easy for me to do." I said.

"I get it. But, if you ever want to, or feel like you can, I'm here." Sam said.

I smiled slightly. "I know. Thanks." I said.

"Yeah. Of course." Sam said.
