Waffles and Cream

"... I really don't understand how you can eat that." Nick wrinkled his nose at the mountain of whipped cream that Travis was spraying onto his plate.

"Says the guy that drinks blood." Travis teased, grinning wide; the can spluttered weakly in his hands and he shook it up, trying to get the last dregs out.

His jaw-length brown hair was poking out from under a green beanie hat pulled down low over the tips of his ears. He was bundled up tight in wool jumper and coat, like he was seeking comfort from the embrace of the clothes; his face rosy in the cool night air. Nick himself just had his long, black coat; it didn't really have any benefit of warmth, but then it didn't need to. It was just... versatile; sufficiently elegant and sophisticated for when he wanted to be seen, and dark enough for when he didn't.

Travis had relaxed once out the house; the young man's usual air of having the weight of the world on his shoulders visibly having fallen away. He stood up just that little bit taller, walked with the tiniest bit more of a spring in his step. Not thinking about it for a time seemed to be good for him.

"Would you like some waffle with your cream?" Nick teased back, looking pointedly at the snowy pile on Travis' plate.

With a wicked smile, Travis leant across the table and squirted a blob of cream onto Nick's nose. Travis guffawed with laughter, swinging back in his chair at the put out expression on Nick's face as he wiped the cream from his nose with one long, elegant finger. "Thanks."

Travis played coy across the table as Nick returned his evil grin and made to steal the whipped cream can. "No, no!" Travis squealed, laughing, as Nick sprayed cream into his own hand and rubbed it onto Travis' face.

"Ha-ha! Sucks to be you, I actually like this stuff!" Travis taunted, scrapping cream off his cheeks and stuffing it exaggeratedly into his mouth. "Nom!"

Nick smirked and sprinkled hundreds-and-thousands onto Travis' head.

Travis grinned puckishly again and made for the can. Nick caught his hands to hold him off just in time. "Behave, you'll get us kicked out!"

"Alright, alright!" Travis acquiesced, both of them sniggering as he lowered the can to the table.

Then, he darted forward, snatched the can and basically tackled Nick in his seat; spraying a line of cream along Nick's cheek before licking it off.

They both paused, as if just realising what had happened.

Nick turned his face to look at Travis, and very softly, their lips brushed.

Felt like something a bit cheerier today, so I hope you enjoy! (I'm in a bit of a festive mood after Christmas shopping, ngl. XD) Anyway, like and comment if you enjoyed!
