When The Tea Is Boiling

Nyx was absolutely fuming- in fact, she was shocked no one could see literal steam coming off her. In the end, she had stormed out, having had enough of their attempted explanations and people telling her how she should feel. She had meant to go to her park, but realised she didn't want to as that was where she had been attacked; so now, she was just wandering around aimlessly.

Thinking about it, she probably should have gone to her Mum's house. Well, she was a bit far away from there now.

Then, suddenly, as she was lost in thought, she heard running behind her; the sound of long, lanky legs pounding against the pavement. She startled; but then, like a stroke of good fortune from above, she heard a familiar voice. "Nyx! Nyx!"

Then Perry's long arm was thrown over her shoulder and she was swept close to her friend. "I thought it was you! Although how awkward would it have been if I'd hugged a stranger?" Perry then looked at her face. "Oh, are you alright? What's happened?"

Nyx sighed, and then wrapped her arms around Perry in a hug.

"Ooh, okay, okay." Perry rubbed her back. "How about some tea? You could come to my place."

"So we have Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Green tea, Chamomile..." Upon arriving at Perry's apartment, Perry had produced nine different, decorative teapots- each increasingly more unusual than the last- and an array of mismatched but very pretty teacups and other assorted tea utensils, which Perry had spread out on a patchwork blanket in the lounge and made a comfortable camp for them both. "... Peppermint, lavender, rose- which I put in the lavender colour teapot; didn't think that one through- assam, and hot chocolate. Oh, and, if you ask nicely, they float."

Nyx laughed, "Chocolate please." holding up her chosen cup- painted like the swirling night sky, with moons and stars. Perry waved his hand and the teapot- blue porcelain painted like water with jewel-encrusted dragonflies wrought into the handle and spout, and on the lid- drifted across to her and poured her a cupful. Perry poured themself a cup of green tea, from one with three spouts.

"So, talk to me." Perry said as Nyx delicately sipped her drink, thinking back to the words she had sobbed on their way there. "So, it's your sister and your boyfriend? And this is The Boyfriend, yes? The one you mentioned back in the hospital?"

Nyx nodded. She selected a second cup and held it out- this one made of stained glass, either meant to be flowers or flames. She held it out towards a teapot, this one sculpted into the comically twisted face of a lady in a crown. "Can I have some Earl Grey please?"

Nyx is gonna dish lol XD or should I say, "spill the tea"?
I looked up waaay to many pictures of teapots for this one.
