It was silent for a few minutes, just Jungkook staring at your blank expression. You didn't even move, neither did you cry like he expected you to. He thought you would have an entire meltdown and that's why he was feeling guilty - he really didn't want to tell it to you because he thought he will hurt you badly yet your reaction showed nothing - literally nothing. In all honesty that scared him but he decided to stay quiet in order to not let you sort out your thoughts.
Perhaps he was right because you then told something softly which almost made him regret his previous words.
"D-do you mean s-submissive or something like that?" You ask, your voice almost breaking down at the end but there were no tears in your eyes. It was just a plain statement yet the confusion in it was clearly visible, he knew Taehyung never did relationships. He was pretty clear about them since the start and he also knows that he might have said the same stuff to you when you both got into an arrangement like this so you were bound to get confused when he told you about all of this. A part of him just wanted to deny and agree with your claim but what exactly would denial get him? Nothing - instead you'd be more hurt so he just looked down before taking another deep breathe and shaking his head.

"No, she was his girlfriend, very first one." He says, looking back at you to gauge your reaction but you just stood there blinking back at him..that's why he continued because he knew you were waiting to hear more even though that would pain you. "She was his almost fiancè too because their dad had even planned out their engagement when they were young itself." He says, not looking in your eyes which still didn't seem to tear up at whatever he said. There was a minute of silence before you opened your mouth - "Fianc- that makes more sense I guess.." you mumble absent mindedly, your voice wavering a little bit but you nodded soon after that, "Thank you." Jungkook watches as you bow down, there was absolutely no sign that you were going to cry, your face was just blank and he didn't know if he was supposed to be scared or worried. You just looked like an empty shell without any emotions inside you.
Your breathing was a little uneven, he could make out from here yet he didn't care - he stared at you with immense worry in his eyes and perhaps this is the first time in a while he is worrying about someone. He was waiting patiently for your response even though he was pretty anxious himself, he knew what he had done will either have a good impact or a very bad one. If he had an option he wouldn't have told you about this but the fact that you came to him with such determined yet broken eyes he couldn't help it, he had to do it.
