Things weren't the same ever since Emma died.
The silence filling the Sano household was deafening. In hopes of changing that, you moved in with your boyfriend - Manjiro - and his grandfather. You even took up Emma's chores around the house, cooking and tidying up almost every day. Manjiro liked to quietly stand by and watch.
Some times, he would wrap his arms around you and nuzzle into your shoulder as you worked. Manjiro had always enjoyed holding on to you, ever since you first became friends. When you'd sleep in his bed, you could feel his arms snake around you, pulling your body closer. Almost like he was scared that you'd leave.
Ever since Emma's death, Mikey had been so quiet around you. He barely even talked to his grandfather anymore. Manjiro used to shower you in praise, affection, and constant mutters of "I love you".
It was like he was the sun, but his warmth had been extinguished when Emma died.
