Creativity: 15/15

I must say that the story starts off very interesting, but at the same time, it starts depressing the way that the story is. The activity of how it's depressing but also about demons is what makes it unique. Pressing because the girl talks about how she wears multiple masks and how she can only take them off at certain points of the day, and that's like when she's in the bathroom. But I think that's what makes the story unique as a whole.

Originality: 15/15

I honestly feel like there is so much in the story that is so different than the average Ghost Hunter Demon Hunter-type story. The way the author does it is so unique and so out-of-the-box original that it leaves you speechless on how amazing the story is because, at first, I thought that the only person I could see the demons and whatnot was the main character. As I've read, I realized her whole family can see them, and it is so cool to have it as a family-type thing over. Oh my goodness, I'm the only one that can see that. But it also makes it very dangerous for her and her family as well.

Storytelling:15 /15

To me, storytelling is unemployed. It's an eerie storytelling if you think about it. I don't feel like it's one of those storytelling that you're like, hey, let's sit down, and I'm going to tell you a story. It's like omnis storytelling, like you're in a room in the dark with nothing but a flashlight on type storytelling. And I'm living for it. I'm not saying that it's bad when it comes to storytelling; I think the way the author does it is phenomenal.

Character: 15/15

Also love the character. The characters are very unique and have their own personalities, and even when it comes to situations dealing with what they're dealing with, they always have a way of making it interesting and unique and fun, and it's sad to say or funny to say that it's fun but the way that the author makes the characters they are so different but they're not all sad and gloomy all the time they have their own uniqueness to them.

Story Flows: 15/15

No grammar, no Sentence structure, nothing that seemed out of place or didn't sound right. Everything ran smoothly when it came to the story and every sentence.

Cover Design: 10/15

I'm trying to be even different about the cover. I don't hate it, but What it's worth right now, it does work'm not a big fan of it either. It could be a little different, but for what it's worth, it works right now with the story. I feel like I would look into a different cover in the future.

Final Thoughts: 10/10

All in all, I said the story was very interesting to read. I love that the author made it creepy, but at the same time, it had an emotional aspect to it, too, regarding the mask and everything. I enjoyed the story and found that the story and its characters were unique in their own beautiful way.

Summary of the book:

For the Slates, Demon Slaying is the family business. And eighteen-year-old Perrin has fully embraced her chosen profession. But when her younger sister, fifteen-year-old Ace, unwittingly picks a doozy of a case as her first outing, they discover a demonic list connecting them to a bet one thousand years in the making. And the demon involved may or may not be the same one who murdered their brother a decade ago. But a secret society of Slayers is also aware of this list. And they have protocols for events like this. Protocols that include doing away with anyone who threatens the balance of the world. And the very existence of the Slate sisters does just that. Will Perrin lose herself trying to keep her sister safe? Will Ace make a deal with the devil that ruins both their lives? Only time will tell.
