The Chronicles: Mark's Adventures

 even though this story is only one chapter, the author's writing is unique. I love how the story feels like it's back in the old days, and because of how the author writes it, it probably is. But the creativity of the story is what I love the most, from the bookstores to the money to the struggles.

Originality: 15/15

I definitely feel like the story is one of a kind cause the way that the author is writing the story. It is a very old-fashioned type of story, but they hit it on the nail when it comes to how they are writing it because it's very hard to write an old-fashioned story, even when it comes to money. But the way this author writes it, you can tell that they've done their research because even in the story, one of the characters wanted to bite the gold coin to make sure. that it was real. And that's what they did back then. They bit the coin that was gold to make sure it was real because gold back then was rare.

Storytelling: 15/15

The storytelling is interesting. It's interesting because it's old-fashioned and I don't feel like I'm in a book or somebody's telling me a story. I feel like I'm walking in the past, reliving how it was back then. The hard times struggle with everything. And I'm not upset about that.

When it comes to the characters, there's not a lot to judge with them. That's only because it's a chapter, so I don't know if there's much growth regarding these characters. From what I've read, they do have their flaws, and they do have their struggles, which is good, but I don't really know if I can really judge the character based on growth because there's only one chapter. So, for me, there will not be much growth in the future. If the author comes back and wants me to read more of the story, if there is more of the story, then I can go over it to see if they have grown or if there is growth. But right now, there is not much growth because it is only one chapter.

The cover is lovely, and I think it matches the story well.

Final Thoughts: 10/10

At the end of the day, I do find that the stories are very good stories, and they are unique stories; even though it's a very short story, I do hope in the future that the author either writes more to the story or. Comes up with another story that I can read because I really enjoyed this story a lot, and the main author had a sense of detail. And the way that the author made it so that it was a very old-fashioned story. It was unique. It's very hard to write an old-fashioned story with so much detail about its history unless you've researched the history or know how to write it because you're either going to do one or two things: flop. It's going to be horrible, or you're going to succeed. People are going to want to read more from me as a reader and reviewer. I would love to read more stories like this because you don't read a lot of stories like these old-fashioned stories, which are not very popular. And because of that, when it comes to magic or anything like that, dealing with an old-fashioned story is looked down upon, or people just aren't interested in it. For me, it's completely different. I feel that this story would be great and should be read for the way it is represented and the way the author did it. It is an amazing story, and I wish the author a really good revival when it comes to the future of this story because, if done right, the story will be incredible.

Summary of the book:

Mark, after discovering his magical capabilities, realises that the path he had set out before was nothing but an illusion. This doesn't deter him nevertheless as he is ready to face whatever challenge that will meet him at the Mage's Academy. However, there are rather dark secrets that threaten a rather dangerous upheaval in his life again. And this time, he must be ready for whatever that is to come.
