Alllrighty, it's been a bit (Unfortunately :( ) but here's this chapter!

Oh, Heads won by the way

-----------------------------------------------------------------

''Everything's going to be okay now sweetest, things will go back to normal after-'' Aldo was murmuring against my neck, pressing kisses against my skin as he did so before trailing off with a choked shout of pain as I sunk my teeth right into his scent gland, biting down until hot, coppery blood coated my tongue, filling my mouth as I lightly chewed on his, ensuring the mark was deep.

Aldo's hold on me loosened ever so slightly in shock, his mouth opening as outrage burned in his eyes.

Taking advantage of his surprise, I flipped us over once again, uncaring about his hand around my throat.

I claimed him! I'm safe now. . .

''What in the stars' names do you think you're doing!'' Aldo demanded below me, his grip tightening dangerously around my throat, drawing a choked noise of pain from me as me vision swam a bit at the edges.

''I. Claimed. You.'' I bit out, a sharp and entirely unfriendly grin on my face as I spoke, my hands moving to hold onto his wrist, preparing to break free from his grip before a bemused chuckle left the man I was sitting on top of now.

''You crazy thing, You can't claim me! That's not how this works.'' Aldo laughed out, his hand leaving my throat to instead grab firmly onto my thigh, holding onto me with a bruising grip as I glared down at him.

''Says who. Last I checked there were no rules that said otherwise.'' I pointed out, upset and refusing to back down, my own hands moving to hold him down by his shoulders as he grinned smugly up at me.

''It's just not done. Now settle down sweetie and end this nonsense, you can't claim someone!'' Aldo scolded, an almost condescending tone to his voice as he smirked at me, his arms moving to try and loop around my waist in an intimate way.

Maybe had he tried such a move another day I would have been charmed at the strange little hug he was attempting.

Today, after everything. . .It earned him a slap across the face as I got up off of him, indignant.

''Oh come on Theo-'' Aldo started to complain, unjustly indignant as well as I stumbled weakly to my injured feet, the bitter, mixing taste of his blood sitting heavy on my taste buds.

''Don't.'' I snarled back as he sat up, watching me with an annoyed light in his eyes as he rested his chin on his knees, his blood coated hands resting on the pine needle covered ground.

So much gods damned blood!! Everything over here involves bloodshed! I'm so done with all of this!!!

''Where do you think you're going? You can't leave until I've claimed you again-'' Aldo was saying before I spun around, giving him a cold, dead eyed glare.

''I rather kill myself than let you touch me again, let alone bite me.'' I snarled back at him, watching with detached disinterest as his eyes widened in mute horror at my heartfelt statement.

We stared each other down for what felt like an entire lifetime before I slowly turned on my heel, my gaze never leaving him before I proceeded to limp away, his wide eyes following me until the trees made eye contact impossible.

. . .I want to go home. . .

I NEED to go home. . .

HoMe.

HOME.

home. . .

The woods around me blurred, either by tears or blood loss, it didn't really matter.

Stumbling even worse, I landed on the ground, my knees slamming painfully into the pine needle littered floor, my palms following not long after, the little brown leaves from the pines and conifers that filled the forest.

I hate this place.

It was nothing like my densely packed, jungle home.

The plains stretched for miles this far up north, only broken up by patches of forest just as hostile as the sun scorched land and people that inhabit it.

''Theo?'' Aldo called out from behind me, his voice prompting me into painful movement, my muscles and body crying out in misery as I forced myself to get up, my joints and wounds protesting as I took another shaky step forwards.

I can't raise my daughter here. . .It was a mistake to fall for Yellow eyes and honeyed promises, his type are all the same. . .Just looking for their next conquest. . .His poor people. . .I love them but I must leave. . .

''Theo sto-'' Aldo started to snarl out, no doubt getting up as well before someone emerged from the undergrowth.

Bright red eyes locked with mine as a scraggly palace guard stumbled out of the bushes, looking concerned and a little frantic until our gaze met.

''Theo!! Yes! I found you in tim- Oh you're bleeding so much!!'' The guard - Smith - rambled, his excitement swiftly turning to worry as he rushed towards me.

Flinching, I started to cower back a bit.

I can't fight off another one. . .Please don't. . .

''Stay away from him! He's mine!'' Aldo snarled out, climbing to his feet, his teeth bared and clearly ready to start another fight only for Smith to move to stand between the two of us.

''Guys! Theo's over here! He needs a healer!!'' Smith shouted towards where he came from as he spread his wings out, hiding me from the sight of Aldo as more people started to approach rapidly through the dark forest.

''What is this. . .You can't team up to claim the prey!!'' Aldo snarled out as multiple other guards and a few servants emerged from the darkness, some rushing to my side as the others joined Smith.

Hands gently wrapped around my upper arms, holding me up and helping support me as multiple people held onto me, their presence overwhelming me as they murmured words of concern and assurances to me.

''We're not here to claim prey. We're here to protect our lord.'' One of the guards snarled back, his voice familiar but everything far too overwhelming for me to remember who it belonged to.

''So what? You lot are starting a coup??'' Aldo growled as the servants supporting my heavily injured body started to carry me away, the guards stopping Aldo from pursuing.

''No. It's a revolution.'' A familiar voice called out as Sophia emerged from the darkness, her gaze stony as she scowled at Aldo from between the guards' spread wings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Welp, we're going down the war route now :) Theo is going to be okay. . .It should be mostly uphill from here <3

Anyways! Like always, have a good day/night and find a better book! - fallen
